Chapter 34: The Final hours

Blacklustermaster: Writer-Chan and I had some technical issues...

Mad4greenz: *puts down flamethrower* you're a week late.

RenKuro: *hitting mad4greenz with pink bat.* you weren't any help Aniki!

Crismonfujimoto: Does little big sister need a hug? *gets hugged by RenKuro*

Mad4Greenz: *gone to do something Melvin would do because he doesn't like waiting.*

Blacklustermaster: These people are crazy...

(Outside p.o.v)

Lilith watched stunned as Arthur trained with Lucifer. She looked over to Kai training with Ibis.

"You are not upset I won't let you fight?" Lilith looked beside her to Mephisto, who had ditched his cloak and top hat.

"You can't directly attack your father. Thanks to the demonic blood bond if you did you and all those connected to him would feel the pain you inflicted on him. This, thanks to our bond, would include damage done by my powers and weapons created by my powers." The two look to Ezio training with Azael and Amaimon. They both found it amusing when they saw Astorth trying to attack Melvin, something about Melvin singing a rude song to him. "All we can do is use barriers and our healing ability. I do hope those left will be alright."

"We will be alright Lilith, the pain will be passed on to father if he attacks one of us."

"Yes but I worry about Kai. Unlike myself, he can still fight as long as he doesn't use his fire abilities."

"Well, that's why I convinced Ibis to teach him how to use his fire for defence against Father's flames, why fighting." Lilith sighed then heard screaming to her left and rolled her eyes hearing the laughter of a vampire she had hoped wouldn't get involved. "I see Alucard has found Dmitri in his hiding place. That's good the boy should really get a backbone."

"Well, we best still train. Who knows if father will bring anything else with him..." Lilith nodded and followed Mephisto's lead, giggling.

(Ezio's p.o.v)

When I agreed to personal training I never pictured I would be playing tag with Amaimon and Azael!

"Run faster!" I twist my body sideways to avoid Amaimon's full strength kick to the ground. Stumbling as the ground cracked due to impact.

"Surroundings!" I duck as a dagger formed in thin air inches from my face as I try to escape from Amaimon. I always knew where Amaimon was but Azael constantly changing between his normal and ghost form was a nightmare to pin down.

Why did I agree to this! I wanna go back to training with Melvin. At least he didn't prolong my suffering!

(Kai's p.o.v)

"Fight me head on boy!" I am going to kill Mephisto! I slash the basic katana, I was given for train, aiming for Ibis' tong. "Are you going for my eye?" He just laughed dancing out of my reach. This is worse than fighting him on the rooftop. He's toying with me.

"Again I was aiming for your tong. If only to shut you up for a second!" I ducked the kick he aimed for my face, using this to my advantage and cutting the tendons in his lower leg. He growled in pain. Sadly my hit was short lived. Demon healing would mean Ibis would be using that leg again in seconds. I try to use this slim window to land the blow that would end my training but found myself pinned to the floor before I could react.

"That was a good idea." He let me up and dusted himself off. "You will need to be quicker facing father. Do not over think your attacks." He let me catch my breath. "Shall we go again?"

"Not much choice..."

(Outside p.o.v)

Lilith sighed as she stood next to the bed. The room the order where letting her and Mephy use till the fight was small, very plane.

"You can have the bath first." Lilith turned to see Mephisto looking mentally drained.

"Will you sit beside the tub?" He looked up seeing her eyes are clouded, much like the moments before one of her panic attacks.

"Of course, anything that will help. My love, this battle must be weighing heavily on your mind." She nodded and held his hand to her cheek, he kissed her head gently. "I love you. Tomorrow will go as planned. I promise everyone will return alive."

"For once I hope that isn't a lie to make me feel better." She hugged him sobbing and he rocked her.

"No, I will never lie to you. My love, I shall do everything in my power to keep that promise."

(Melvin's p.o.v)

I breathed in the air of true cross, the lingering smell of death still filled the air.

"Demon, do you know the battle plan?" I blinked seeing the girly haired paladin. He held himself with an air of stupidly. I grinned evilly, this prick kidnapped Lilith and now flirts with her. I'm sure I won't get in trouble for hurting him.

"The plan...oh yeah sure I know the plan." I put my arm around his shoulder, grinning as he cringes. "You see first, we set up the barriers for the medical units. The demon Kings will be guarding those from any of Satan's little bitches." I pat his chest humming a little as I see him look at me worried. "Now the exorcists are gonna do most of the battling against Satan from long range, all but you."

"All but me then what is my task?"

"The pope, he personally ordered you to run headlong into battle way ahead of anyone else. I'm sure Lilith would love a man that follows orders and not just hangs back where it's-"

"I shall make the first move be my back up, now charge demon!" I waved as he ran head first, more like dick first, into battle screaming a battle cry.

"Melvin what the hell did you tell him. I'm in charge of battle-"

"He's a decoy...so I can work out Satan's strength." Kai looked at me and went to speak but we both watched Arthur be smacked into a building behind us. "Can I send Ezio in next?"

"No...no killing the cat. Amaimon I already got a casualty. The stupid paladin listened to Melvin." I watch Kai walk off and look back to see the tower of blue fire.

"Well ... Today looks like it's gonna be fun. Now where did I put my beer?"
