Rebecca glanced around the park nervously. It was deserted except for them with the picnic basket laid across the blanket that twinkled under the lights and stars. She didn't know what to say. Part of her wanted to say yes. The other said no. Then there was no that said maybe.
It was all very confusing.
"I don't know. . ." Rebecca trailed off, biting her lip nervously.
"Give me another chance, please." Caden was to the point of begging now. He just wanted Becca back.
"I can't...I'm sorry." Rebecca took two steps back then another then fully turned around and quickly walked out of the park and down the sidewalk.
It was fake, she told herself, he did it because he felt bad.
Caden was left standing there as stared at the empty spot where she was. She's gone. She left when she promised not to.
