As Rebecca was walking home, tears blurred her vision to the extend for where she couldn't see.
Caden wasn't genuinely sorry, she thought, he didn't like me enough. Michael just told him to do that.
"Becca wait!" Caden called to her from the entrance to the park. He regained his senses to go after his girl. "Can we talk about this!"
Rebecca's eyes were tearful as she stumbled into the street. "Go away Caden! I don't wanna talk to you!" Her voice caught on a sob.
"Becca watch out!"
Through Rebecca's blind stumbling, she made it to the center of the road, where headlights were approaching fast and unwavering.
Rebecca managed to look up into the bright lights before he body was thrown by the car.
"Becca!" Caden was fast to run to her but he didn't know if he wouldn't been faster had he knocked her out of the way.
The driver of the car pulled over to realize it was Lana. Lana's hand instantly flew to her mouth as she saw Rebecca's fallen form a few feet away. Caden had other ideas because he called the paramedics.
"Oh my god." Lana gasped. "Rebecca."
Once Caden was done, he kneeled by Becca and brushed her hair away. "Becca." Tears escaped his eyes. "I'm so sorry. It should've been me. I wish it was me."
Then Caden brought Rebecca over to the side of the road where they waited for the paramedics.
