Chapter Twenty

**last chapter recap (Eren's POV): The white haired man gave Eren shots that held something to suppress his Titan shifting powers. The man tortured Eren. Eren hid his ring by making it into a necklace to keep it safe.**

[Once again, the possibly triggering parts are in Eren's POV and also near the end in both Levi and Eren's POV]

Levi;

Hanji slept for a couple hours before we headed off again. As we flew through the trees, I heard a familiar rumble.

"Shit." I hissed. I looked behind me to see trees beginning to make way for a 7 meter Titan. "Hanji!" I yelled. She nodded and began slowing down.

She positioned herself as a distraction for the Titan as I came down to slice its neck.

"Tch. Filthy." I said as I wiped my hands off with my cravat. Hanji cackled at me and then shot up into the trees. I quickly readjusted my gear and headed out after her.

- Four Hours Later-

Hanji  and I had finally made it just outside the headquarters.

"I want to go get him now but they're going to see us." I mumbled.

"We'll have to wait for it to get dark then."  Hanji said. I sighed and used my 3DMG to get up into a tree. Hanji did the same in a tree right next to the one I was in. I looked down on the large building.

"Hold on for just a little longer, Eren. I'm coming."

Eren;

I had somehow fallen asleep after the white haired man had left. I found myself almost fully healed which meant the stuff the man had injected into me had worn off sometime during the night.

I began to try and break free the chains that bound me to the chair I was in.

"Shit." I hissed. I heard the door open and a cart was wheeled in. My body began to shake with fear. "P-please no." I stuttered. The man just snickered and injected me with the mysterious liquid. I bit my cheek to keep myself from screaming. He turned to a person who had come in with him and whispered something to them. The other person nodded and left. The man glared at me and then strutted out of the room. I let out a breath I didn't know I had been holding.

Suddenly, I was hit with a sudden dizziness. I felt myself hyperventilate in fear and I tried to break free again, spastically kicking my legs and arms as I slowly slipped into unconsciousness.

I woke to a vicious pain my arm. There was a huge gash pouring blood onto the floor. I screamed in pain and thrashed around.

"Time to wake up Titan shifter." The white haired man said, smirking dangerously. "Today, I am going to ask you questions. And if I don't get an answer I like, I'm going to hurt you. A slow, torturous death. Something someone like you deserves." He spat.

I choked back a sob as the man began talking again. "How did you get this ability?" He asked.

"I-I don't know." I whispered. There was a sharp pain in my shin, making me scream out.
