One Last Kiss {EreRi/RiRen}

Chapter Twenty-One

**last chapter recap: White haired man tortured Eren more and interrogated him. Eren was also given more shots that suppress his turns shifting ability. Levi and Hanji found Eren and were fought off the guards. The chapter ended with Levi fighting the white haired man to get to Eren**

Levi;

[::May be triggering to some::]

The man swung his fist at me, but I was easily able to dodge and kick his legs out from under him. He quickly got up and kicked me down. I once agin kicked his legs out from under him and quickly stood up. I kicked him and pulled out the sword I had stashed in the uniform earlier and placed it just above his throat.

"Move and you die." I growled. I looked over st Hanji who had knocked out the other person. I gestured for her to come over to where I was. "Watch him. If he makes any attempt at Eren, kill him." I told her. She nodded and I turned and ran to Eren. I knelt down and cupped his face in my hands seeing cuts littering his face. He tried so hard to smile at me, but his eyes had so much sadness in them I could barely handle it.

"I'm so sorry Levi I had to leave I-" I shut him up by placing my lips on his and kissing him. He quickly kissed me back and I tasted salt and blood. I pulled back and placed my forehead on his to see him crying. I felt tears roll down my
face as well.

"Let's get you out of here, ok?" I whispered to him. He nodded. I used my sword to break the locks on the chains around Eren's ankles and then broke the handcuffs off of his wrists. I quickly took my cravat off and ripped it in half. I tied one half over each of the gashes on his wrists to try and stop the bleeding.

"That should work until we can get you back ok?" I gently asked, kneeling in front of him again. He nodded and wrapped his arms, burying his face into my shoulder. I returned his hug and brought him close to me. I felt more tears make their way down my face. I squeezed my eyes shut as Eren pulled back. He wiped the tears off my face and I did the same to him.

"I love you. I love you so much." He whispered to me. I placed my forehead on his again.

"I love you too. More then you could ever know." I replied and placed a gentle kiss on his lips. I pulled away, intertwining our hands together. "Can you stand?" I asked.

"I-I think so." He stuttered. He tried to stand with my help but he was clearly in a lot of pain. He was able to stand and I quickly wrapped my arm around his waist and his arm went over my shoulders. Eren and I slowly made our way to the door where I turned to Hanji.

"Knock him out and lock him in here." She nodded and quickly did just that. Eren and I slowly made our way down the hallway as Hanji locked the door and ran up to us. Suddenly, Eren collapsed.

"Eren! Eren are you ok?" I asked, worry laced in my voice. He weakly shook his head. I quickly put my arm under his legs and wrapped his arm around my shoulders, lifting him up bridal style. He seemed to be drifting in and out of consciousness as we ran to the exit. "Hang in there, Eren." I whispered to him. He buried his face into my chest as we ran outside towards the 3DMG. I laid him down behind the rock.

"We can't go with him in this state. We need to find a horse." Hanji stated.

"Can you go find one then?" I hissed. She nodded and ran out in search for a horse. I inspected Eren's injuries, seeing he had many on his legs, face, and arms. He was bleeding a lot. We would have to get him there in record time to get him the medical attention he needed. My heart clenched at the thought of Eren not making it. "Eren, Eren can you hear me?" I asked him. He weakly nodded. "You have to stay strong ok? You can't leave me, you have to try your best. We will get you help as soon as we can, but I need you to hold on ok?" I felt myself getting choked up.

"I'll try, Levi. But it hurts. It hurts a lot." He whimpered.

"It's going to be ok. We'll get you there. Just don't leave me, please." I felt myself begin to cry as Eren leaned over and pressed his lips to mine. I eagerly kissed him back and cupped his face in my hands. I pulled away and looked out from behind the rock when I heard something. I stood up to see Hanji in the distance with two horses.

"D-don't leave me." Eren whimpered, fear apparent in his voice. I knelt down in front of him.

"Never. I will never leave you behind. I promise." I reassured him. Hanji appeared with two horses and I lifted Eren up onto one of them. Hanji grabbed the 3DMG and put one on. I put the other on quickly and jumped onto the horse, Eren in front of me so I could keep him on the horse and watch after him. Hanji took the lead and we rode into the forest, on our way back to the castle.
