Chapter 2

The bell rang and I practically ran out of the classroom. I got to my lock just about the same time Alex does.

I opened my locker and grabbed my books. Then I closed it and leaned on it to wait for Alex.

"Hey Lex!" I said with a smile

"Hey Toby!" She responded

"Where is your next class," I asked sticking my hand out waiting for her to hand me her schedule.

"I have Civics with Mehfoud." She says in that raspy voice I can't get enough of.

"I do to would you like to walk with me." I asked nicely waving her in front of me.

"I would love to." She smiled

We walked to class and talked along the way.

"What lunch do you have," I spoke.

"3rd how about you?" She answered

" I have 3rd lunch too," I said as I flashed her my million dollar smile.

"That awesome." She said kind of blushing.

I kind of didn't really know how to explain how Alex made me feel and it's weird like I like her but it different then everyone else it's just like we hit it off automatically and it's crazy to think that I Tobin Heath am crushing on someone its normal always that the girls crush on me it weird but I like it.

"Would you like to eat together." She asks, snapping me out of my thoughts

"Yes! I would love to." I say.

The next thing I know is we are in Mehfoud's class and he's playing one of my favorite songs Miserable at best by: Mayday Parade, and I look over at Alex and she's singing along with it .

The song ends and I know I have this stupid ass grin on his face.

"Are you okay Tobin." Alex asked.

"Yeah it's just that is my favorite song and you were singing it." I say blushing a little.

"Omg really I love mayday parade!" She responds with a huge smile on her face.

"I will have to take you to a concert some time."

"Yessss that's a date.... I ummm mean aaaa yeah that will be fun." She says starting to get nervous and worried.

"Yeah that will be fun!" I responded cautiously to make sure she doesn't get the wrong idea.

Mehfoud comes in and begins class we talk and laugh as a class and before we know it the bell is rings and I'm wishing it would have lasted a little bit longer so I could see those beautiful ocean eyes a little more.

I get up and walk out of class and not thinking she Ashlyn and Hope and run up and catch up to them and then all of the sudden Alex is right there.

"What you just going to leave me behind like that."

"I am so sorry lex I completely forgot about it I saw Hope and Ashlyn and I spaced I'm so sorry." I responded felling like a complete ass.

"It's fine Toby I was just kidding." She said laughing

I kind of cringed when she called me that but I think I can get use to it because of how she said it. I don't know why but she has a really weird effect on me.
