"Wala tayong pupuntahan no?"

His response to my question was simple: a smile that was enough to have a thousand of his fan girls faint.

We've been on the road for more than an hour now, and with the way things were going, I knew we didn't have a specific destination in mind. He was just driving, with the windows down at a comfortable 80 kilometers per hour.

Usually, if I was with my friends, I'd start complaining about how much money we'd been spending on gas, how my butt was starting to ache and how my tummy was starting to grumble, but with him in the driver's side, I was at ease.

I didn't care if I looked like a bruha what with the wind blowing through my hair or that my eye make up from the photoshoot I had earlier was starting to wear off, what was important was that I was in his car, in the passenger seat, enjoying every bit of this moment with him.

"Ikaw ha. Matutunaw na ata ako sa'yo eh." He said, noticing that I'd been staring at him for quite some time now, though he was busy driving. I suddenly got conscious and I felt myself blush.

"Huwag kang mag-alala." He added. "Ganyan din naman ako sa'yo eh."

And just like those chick flicks where the background music comes in at the perfect time, Taylor Swift's "Wildest Dreams" comes in as he steals a glance at me.

A smile slowly crept up my face.

"Den.. Ano ba 'to.." I had to ask.

He frowned so adorably as he kept his hands on the steering wheel.

"Huh?"

"Ano ba'to.." I asked again. "Ano ba tayo? May.. may tayo nga ba?"

We were suddenly caught in typical Manila traffic.

There goes our road trip.

Alden put the car to a stop and then he looked at me. He looked at me with those eyes of his, that if you stared at them a little longer, you'd feel as if you could see his soul. His eyes were a nice and comforting kind of brown, enough for me to get lost in them.

"Meng.." He held my hand. "Isa lang ang alam ko. May nararamdaman ako para sa'yo. Akala ko noon, lilipas din 'to, pero hindi eh. Meng.."

I suddenly hushed him by putting my free hand over his.

"Okay na sa akin yung sinabi mo.." I giggled softly.

"Pero.."

"May ikaw, may ako.. may tayo."

I didn't know why I suddenly had the courage to say that, but in that moment, I felt like it was the only thing that truly mattered to me, to us. His dimple deepened even more as his smile seemed to be too wide for his face.

As the car started moving again, he kissed my hand. His lips were so soft against them.

He took one last look at me and said with a beaming look on his face,

"May tayo".
