Chapter 5

Ethan met me at the door already holding it open for me.

"After you ma'lady." he said in a kind of bad English accent.

I couldn't hold back a smile, a tiny giggle, and a huge blush over my cheeks. I shook my head and just smiled at my feet. I walked through the door and out to the front lawn.

"Thanks for that Ethan."

"You’re very welcome for that. It's always fun to see people happy."

That had me laugh to. Ethan joined to in my tiny little laughing fit. After that settled down we both started towards our math class near the food court. We talk the whole way there. We talked about how his birthday was this Friday (September 7) and how he would be able to find his mate. We talked about my birthday, Ella and her obsession with him, and about our schedules and how we hope we have no classes with her.

"Please, please, please. Don’t have Ella in any of our classes. It's already bad enough that she's in the same house and on the same floor as me. Please don’t take this away from me. I already have to deal with her living with me, don’t make my life harder when I reject her. Please god, please." Ethan pleaded looking at the sky.

"Stop worrying so much Ethan. If you keep this up there going to make it worse by making sure she's in every class you have and have you sit next to her in every one of them."

"Shut up! You're going to jinx it and that's the last thing I want. Okay?"

"Ya, okay. Sorry, I'll take blame if she is in any of our classes and you can blame it on me and my magical powers of jinxing people. Okay?'

He nodded in agreement. I just laughed at him at started into the 5 story brick building. I walked in and went straight to the sign on the wall that said 'Directory' in bold words. I looked at the name on my schedule and then looked at the directory trying to find the name and the room number. I found it, math class is on the 3rd floor room number 308.

I turn and tell Ethan the room and floor number. He nods in agreement. We both start for the elevator. There are about 4 or 5 other people waiting at the elevator, looking at them, I assume that they are about our age so they are most likely in our class. They smile and give us a small wave, and we both of us return the wave and the smile.

"Do you think they’re in our class, Van?"

"I think they are in our class. They're standing by the elevator, they look about our age too."

"Ya, I guess so."

"Ya, I guess so to"

And at that our conversation ended and we continued to walk to the elevator. We didn't really talk to them all that much. All I learnt about them is that their names are Ellen, David, Charlie, Annabelle, and Violet, and they are all in our math class. Besides that, math class was really boring. We talked about stuff that I either already knew or had known idea what that was. About 45% of the time I could have sworn that the teacher was speaking a different language. The rest of the time what he was talking about was as simple as 1+1=2. Me and Ethan had a laugh here and there about random stuff. I told him I didn't jinx him.

After math class (which was like a really long time, it was an hour class) we both headed for our 'power' terminology class back near our dorm house. We had allot of walking to do between classes. When we finally made it over there we were 15 minutes early to the door.

I couldn't get the fact that Ethan’s birthday was this Friday. Before I even thought this though I started saying-

"Do you think that you're going to find your mate?"

I instantly looked at my feet because I couldn't believe how stupid I was. I waited for him to respond for what felt like forever.

"I don't know if I'll find my mate. My mate could be anyone in the world. It's not the most likely thing in the world for her to be here."

I sign agreeing with him. Then it came to me, 'what is Ella going to do when she finds out?'

"Hey Ethan, what are you going to do about Ella after Friday?"

"I don't know Van. I don't know."

I sighed again, looking at my shoes. I felt bad for him knowing that Ella was not going to stop till she had her way...

♫A/N-  hey peoplz, how is your summer do far? I just graduated today! I know that it's thursaday but I won't be at school tomorrow becasue I'm going to the movies! I am officially an eighth grader, I'm so happy. I don't have to put up with people calling me 'sevie' now it's my turn. Sorry for the short chapter... Normal sized chapter Monday!
