Chapter 11

The next day and a half was filled with shopping for dresses and things like that for the girls. I don't really know what the boys where doing. Probably trying to figure out what qualified as a suit. Bye Tuesday afternoon me, Akira, and Ella had all found our dresses and shoes. We spent the rest of the day doing each others nails and hair and picking out what accessories to wear. When we were done it was about 5:45. We started to get ready, we pulled out our dressed from the boxes and helped get them on each other. Then we helped pick out make-up and final jewellery. Ella helped me put on my shoes since I suck as putting them on.

It was about 6:15 when the boys started yelling at us to hurry up or we would be late. We headed down stairs and everyone was awe struck. Both boys had their hair nicely brushed and were in acceptable suit type clothes. The boys really like the outfits that me and Akira chose. They, like us, didn't make any real comment on Ella's dress of choice.

Akira wore a beautiful pink fading hi-low dress with silver heels. She had her hair french side braided and small pink diamond drops with a light pink eye shadow.Ella was wearing a short black sequined dress with fur like stuff at the bottom, it was as short as the school would allow. She wore black wedges and black crystal drops, she also head a little bit of black eye liner. She had her done up in kind of a bun with curls falling from it, almost like a waterfall. I decided to wear a beautiful floor length darkish blue dress with beautiful beading along the torso. I had to wear dark blue wedges or else I would trip on the dress. I had my hair mostly down and it was curled, I had one of the top sections on each side braid to the back of my head to keep them out of my face. I have some sapphire drops with a matching necklace. All the girls had a necklace that matched their dress. I had a little bit of light blue eye shadow to finish off the look.

"Wow" that was the only thing that came out of the boy's mouth.

"Yes I know we all look beautiful, but didn't we need to hurry and go to the party?"

We all nodded and headed out towards the grand ballroom. Outside we could see other groups or clusters of people in formals heading towards the ballroom. The actual place was huge, it looked like a giant dome and it was beautiful. We all entered through the glass double door. The air inside it was warm and filled with laughter, mingling, and food. There was almost a full orchestra on the stage and people dance every where. We entered and went down the stair cases. There was a person there announcing peoples names and their houses. There also was another person handing out masks. We all went over and got a mask, Then we all agreed to meet back at the house around 10:00 unless something happens. We then walked over to the person calling names. He asked for our names and house.

Once we told him that he checked a clipboard and let all of us pass, but not before announcing to the crown that all guest from platinum house are here. Once we got to the middle of the ballroom we all went our separate ways. Ella and Peter as mates. Akira and Lucas as twins. Then there was me, a complete loner. I wondered around the room until I accidental bumped into someone.

"Oh my god! I am so sorry, I didn't mean to do that."

He turned around and faced me. He was about 5'7, 5'8, so a little taller then me. He had straight dark golden hair and seafoam colored eyes. I could tell that he was an elf by his ears.

"Don't worry, no harm done here. My name is Gwindor."

"Judging by the name and the elvish look..."

"Yes, that's right. You have a very keen eye. Nice to meet you, I'm Gwindor the fifth, youngest elf prince"

"It's very nice to meet you Gwindor, I'm Victoria. You're from, sapphire(gemstone house, royal color)?"

"Yes I am, where might you be from?"

"Platinum."

"Interesting, it's a little noise here. Do you want to go to the green house?"

"I would love to, it is a little noise in here."

We walked down a hallway towards another set of double glass doors. These ones where green and had stain glass flowers all over them. Gwindor pushed them open to reveal a beautiful green house. There were orchids, flowers falling from the ceiling, and many different trees. We walked and talked for a while. He told me about his home and about elves and how they live and how they make a family. In turn, I told him about my home, family, and more about me. We had gotten to know each other really well bye the end of the night.

I had learned that he is one year older then me (15) and born the day after me (October 29). He was a real gentlemen, when the night came to an end he was even nice enough to walk me all the way home. I felt bad because sapphire is really far away from platinum. He just brushed it off and said it was the gentleman thing to do. Honestly I was really happy that he walked my home. We said good bye to each other when we got to my house. When I opened the door I was met with some scary faces of the others living here.

"Where have you been Van? It's almost 10:30!" I'm pretty sure that Peter was the most pissed.

"See, I told you. She was just hanging out with a new friend that she made at the party. She can't just be isolated here with no one else to talk to." apparently Ella and Akira had seen me and Gwindor chatting.

"Okay, okay. I'm sorry that I'm a little late. Okay?"

We all headed up stairs and got changed. When I came out of the bathroom I found Ella and Akira on my bed chatting. When I came into the room I was tackled and put on the bed.

"So" Akira had that look in her eyes, "How was you time with your new friend? What is he like? Who is he?"

"His name is Gwindor and he is an elvis prince. He's in sapphire dorm and he is really sweet."

"Do you think that you might have a crush on him?"

"Are you serious?! I just meet him at the party, that's all. I barely know him. Ask me that again if we ever spend more time together."

So next time I update it should be a full chapter not a reward chapter. So what's up. It's 2:08 am right now. It's Saturday I think? So Friday is Friday the 13! so my homeroom is having a party and my second oldest friend's b-day party is right after the homeroom party. her b-day is the day before. as one of my presents to her, I will dedicate this to you! your next one will hopefully be here before we go and shoot things with guns and water balloons filled with paint.
