Chapter 8

--Van's POV--

Everyone showed up for the party, by ten the whole house was packed. Me and Ethan where talking to his parents. He was currently introducing me to them. They were very nice people in mind. When we where done, me and Ethan starting talking when he suddenly spaced out then came back. He said that his mate was here and I told him to go and chase after her. He left me to go and find her, I hope she's nice. I walked into the kitchen to get a glass of water. 'Only a month or so before I can find my mate.' I wonder who it will be. I was deep in thought when Ethan came marching in with this face of a person who would kick your ass in a heart beat and not give a shit about it.

"Ethan, are you okay dude? Looks like you want to beat the shit out of someone."

"Honestly Van, no. I just some one who's my mate but not at the same time. I'm so god damn confused right now!"

"You want to go out side and talk about it?"

"Ya."

We walked out the back door and started towards the center of campus. We were both enjoying the peaceful silence that we both had wanted for a while.

"So what's your problem?"

"I found my mate but I didn't at the same time."

"Yes, already established that much, who was it?"

"Who do you think it was?"

"Ella is the first name that pops into my head."

"Yep, on the dot. Goddamn so confusing."

"GG man, your screwed." I couldn't breathe anymore because I was laughing so hard at how resistant this girl is. "who's clothes and stuff did she steal? you know?"

"Nope, not a clue."

"Well, now your even more screwed, GJ man, you've out done your self."

"Shut-up."

"We should head back before there's a scene about the birthday boy missing."

We walked back trying to take as much time as possible, neither of us were every excited to get back the party house. When we got there I went in first and got a bottle of water from the kitchen. When I went back into the living room everyone was crowding around something. 'is their a fight breaking out or something?!?' I started to push through the crowd of people trying to see what was going on. When I finally got to the front I saw Ethan, his parents, and Ella all talking about something. Ethan had that 'I'm going to kill you' look on his face again.

Ella looked as if she was about to burst. Then she push people out of the way and went half way up the stairs so that everyone could see her. Ethan's parents followed. They looked like they wanted to say something to everyone. Ethan on the other hand came and stood next to me. I didn't take my attention of the people on the stairs.

"Attention everyone, I have some very exciting news about my son Ethan." Ethan's dads voice echoed throughout the house and everyone was silent waiting to hear the news. "As you all know, Ethan is my heir and the next alpha, and to day being his birthday he is know able to find a mate to rule beside him. It just so happens that that lucky lady is hear today and is fully ready to become our new Luna."

There was a large gasp and then unbelievable excitement through out the house. I swear I was half deaf of mostly deaf after that excitement from everyone else.

"Everyone settle down, it gets better," everyone became silent instantly waiting to hear the next part. "The luck girl is also the heir to the second most powerful pack, right below ours. So, them being mates means that we will combine the two packs!" He gestured his hand towards Ella who bowed her head and then smiled at the crowed.

I had to leave the room after that statement because I could have swore that my ears were going to start bleeding any moment. It was so freaking loud in there, I was sure anyone who didn't go could hear them yelling and cheering.
