Decklynn's P.o.V

Vladimir had carried the passed out Shredder at around midnight. The entire conversation that they were having was going right over my head. I had no clue as to what they were talking about and the importance that it had. The only thing that I knew was that she was addicted to heroin and that my targets were known for selling that same drug.

I called Kelson when they had left to come over. The entire time he was complaining about being woken up and having to leave his 'friend's' house.

"Are you sure?" He asked, still not believing me.

"Yea, I know what I fucking heard." I said, getting aggravated that my best friend and partner wasn't believing me.

"Okay man, what's the plan?" He asked, rubbing his face in his hands.

"We need to find out who Shredder really is. If she is getting the heroin from the targets, she'll lead us right to them." I paused, thinking back. "Or we could follow the Vladimir guy. He seemed pretty mad that her cravings were back."

"Cool. I'll call Mr. C and see if he has any info."

I put my hand on his shoulder. "Thanks, man. I really appreciate this."

"Don't worry bro," He said with a smile. "You can always count on me."

I nodded and turned to walk upstairs. As I passed Ryland's room, I peeked in. He was sleeping peacefully. I smiled and shut the door. I promised myself that I would hang out with Ryland tomorrow.

"Daddy!" I grumbled and flipped over on my side. It was too early to wake up.

"Daddy!" The voice said again. I swatted them away. It was silent for a second so I thought that it was safe to get to sleep. Boy, was I wrong. The next thing that I knew, Ryland jumped up on my bed and started jumping.

"Daddy! Daddy! Daddy!" He chanted. "Wake up! Wake up! Wake up!"

I grumbled again, flipping back over on my back and looking up at him.

"What?" I asked.

"Can I have breakfast? Uncle Kelson said that I had to ask you."

"Sure. Whadaya want?"

"Can I have Lucky Charms?"

"Yea bud. Let me get dressed and you go get dressed and I'll get you your Lucky Charms."

He smiled and jumped off my bed, walking to his room. I grabbed a pair of ripped black jeans, a grey Sleeping With Sirens shirt, and my black Supra high tops. I quickly took a shower then got dressed and brushed my teeth and hair before walking downstairs. Ryland was already sitting at the bar with his bowl and silverware that he got from the dishwasher. I grabbed the Lucky Charms from the cupboard and got the milk, getting a bowl for both of us.

"Would you like to go to the park Ry?" I asked.

"Yes!" He said with his mouth full, spitting bits of cereal and milk everywhere. I gave him a stern look.

He swallowed and looked at me. "Sorry."

"Thank you for saying sorry Ry." He smiled. "Hurry up and eat so that we can go to the park. Or would you like to go to the pool?"

His eyes widened. "The pool?" He asked surprised.

"Yup." I said popping the 'p'.

"The pool!" He yelled.

"Then let's go."

***

Fifteen minutes later I was pulling into the swimming pool's parking lot with Ryland mumbling for me to hurry up.

"Alright, get out." He jumped out of my Charger and ran inside the pool, pulling me by my wrist.

I helped him get his stuff together before putting him in a changing room and me going in the other. I was done first, waiting for him to put his Spider-man trunks on. A couple minutes later, he came up holding his clothes for me. I put them in the locker and brought him out to the pool.

We only went into the three feet section because Ryland was still learning how to swim. He was doing well for a three-year-old I guess. We swam for about an hour before Ry said that he was done. We both got out and got changed before I asked him what he wanted to do next.

"Ice cream. Can we get ice cream?" He asked.

"Sure." I replied.

I drove to the closest ice cream shop and ordered us both small chocolates, his in a bowl and mine in a waffle cone. We talked about how his school life was going and how I was doing. I asked him if he liked it here or if he liked LA better. He said that he liked it here better, even if that means he can't hang out with Richy.

We hung out for a little longer, going to the park and him swinging before we got home. It was about dinner time so I made us both some Mac 'n' Cheese. Kelson came and ate with us, all of us just talking about our day before I brought Ryland up to bed and telling Kel that I was tired and going to bed. Spending the day with a hyperactive three-year-old can tucker a guy out.

The last thought before I drifted off to sleep was about Shredder and what I was going to do about my targets and her drug addiction.

Sorry again about the really long wait. I feel super bad. I tried to make this a longer chapter and you got to see a little more about Ryland. I'm thinking that I may to a spin-off about him later on, but that's just an idea.
