Zoella's P.o.V

Maybe it was the fact that I had passed out and my eyes were probably glazed over or maybe it was the fact that I was shaking like I was having a seizure. I don't really know what it was, but I did know that it was something to one of those effects. Why am I saying this? Well, right now I'm sitting across from a very pissed looking Gage Reese.

"Are you doing drugs?" He asked sternly.

"What?" I scoffed quietly. "No!"

He sighed. "Then why do you look like...that?" He said, throwing his hands up.

"I don't know Gage. Maybe because I'm tired." I suggested.

"You know that you can tell me anything, right Zoe Bear?" His eyes were pleading with me. He was a SEAL, so he knew that something was up and that I wasn't just tired.

"Yea, Gage, I know." I said, trying to be louder to show him that I did.

His eyes lit up and his mouth twitched into a small smile so I knew that it was appreciated that I was trying to be louder and more self-confident.

"I have to go. Feel better okay?" He looked worried again.

"Don't worry about me. I love you, Gage."

He got up from the couch and walked to the door. As he was about half way out he said I love you back and walked out. I leaned back, letting out a breath I didn't know I was holding. That was close. Way to close. I couldn't let Gage figure out who I was. That would be bad for him and me. I didn't want him mixed up in my business, even though I knew that he could hold his own.

Now I had to think about what I was going to do about the Devil's Gang. Oliver before was just a pesky fly that I could deal with, but now he messed with me. He beat me and now I'm going to beat him. The thing is, I don't want to beat him physically, I want it to be mentally. I want - no need - him to be afraid. He needs to know his place on the food chain.

I woke up the next morning to Gage coming home. I heard him fumbling around and he wasn't being that quiet. It was six in the morning for fuck's sake! I got out of bed and went downstairs to see if Gage was okay.

"Gage?" I yelled out.

"Yeah?" He said coming from the kitchen. I cocked my head at him. His neck was covered in hickeys.

I pointed to his neck. "Everything good?"

He scratched the back of his neck a blush spread across his face.

"Yeah, it all good. Sorry for waking you."

"Don't worry. Introduce me to her if it ever gets to that stage."

He forced a smile. "Sure I'll let you meet....her." He paused at 'her' but I decided not to question it.

The rest of the day I was pacing the house, trying - but failing - to ignore the the cravings for the drugs. I knew that lying to Gage was bad, but I really didn't want him to know about my parents testing their drugs out on me. They figured that if it was a bad batch or if it was laced with something, they would know because I would be dead. It was terrible, but in those days, I couldn't wait for the time that I would get my next hit.

I sighed. The more that I thought about getting a hit and what happened, the more I wanted one. I grabbed Shredder's phone and texting Vlad. I know that he said to text him when I came up with a plan for the Devil's Gang, but I wanted his input.

Shredder: let's meet up and talk about my little problem

Vladimir: sure when and where

Shredder: idc how about your place

Vladimir: can't there's a meeting for the sellers

Shredder: fuck...how about the park across my place

Vladimir: sure just make sure that no one that we know is there

Shredder: you should know by now that I'm always careful

Vladimir: fine

Shredder: meet me at five

When he didn't answer, I guessed that he knew and was getting ready. I grabbed a black shirt, black skinny jeans, and quickly got changed. When I was leaving I grabbed my black Vans and hurried out the door, eager to forget about the cravings and figure out what I was going to do to Oliver.

I got to the park just as Vlad was pulling up. As I waved to him, the wind blew just right and his jacket lifted up and I saw a pistol in his waistband. I smirked at him and shook my head.

"Really Vlad? We're at the park." I asked when I got over to him.

"What?" He shrugged, scratching his cheek. "You can never be too careful."

"Whatever. Let's go sit and get to business."

We walked over to the nearest table a little bit away from the actual park. "How are the cravings?"

"Good. Gage asked, I said that I must just be tired." Vlad frowned.

"You need to tell him." He growled at me.

"And how do you think that's going to go over? What am I gonna say, huh? 'By the way, my parents didn't just beat me, they also tested their drugs out on me. Hope you don't mind.' Yeah, because that's gonna go over easy." I scoffed.

"Whatever, I don't want to get into it with you. Let's get down to business."

"Agreed. I was thinking maybe a dead member would straighten them out."

"Do you want a war on your hands?" Vlad, always a man on rationality.

"No." I paused. "What about a 'missing' shipment?" I suggested.

"Better. And we don't have to murder someone." He smirked.

"Like we haven't before."

"Whatever. I'll have my guys figure out when the next shipment is in. I'll be in touch."

"Stop talking to me like I'm a client Vlad. If anything, you're the client."

"See you later Zoe." He chuckled.

I got up and walked around the table and hugged him. I whispered goodbye and thank you in his ear before he walked off. I sat back at the table and stared off into space. It was a few minutes later when I felt the bench dip with weight. When I looked over I was surprised out of my mind.

"So your Shredder?" It was Nolan and his friend.

I gulped. "What did you hear?" I asked, not answering the question.

"Most of it. Meeting with Vladimir in public was risky." Nolan said.

"What I do is none of your business." I stood up and stared at them. I noticed the bulge in the side if Nolan's pants. I leaned in and grabbed the gun.

"Nice. Desert Eagle, but Nolan, we are in a park and this isn't safe. I think that I'll handle this for you." He reached to grab the gun but I held his wrist.

I leaned into his ear. "Bad boy." He shivered and I pulled the gun out of his pants, tucking it into mine.

"See you guys later." I said, walking away.

Holy FUCK! I thought. That was fucking close. Now I need to figure out what to do with Nolan and his friend. I sighed. This week just got a lot longer.
