I remember hearing it over and over in my mind. That one irrefutable fact that hangs in the minds of every living thing. The thing that all of them try to avade. I tried and failed. This is it.

This is how I died. Telling my love how much he means to me as I lay in his now bloodstained arms. A steady steam of blood, flowing from my chest like a river. Giving us one last kiss as I fall into the void. Into the darkness from where I shall never awaken. My name you might ask? Aria.

Hi. As you know, my name is Aria. Aria Bellrose. I am an eighteen year old paladin from the kingdom, Sapphiros. Yes, I am, technically, dead, but not in the way that you all expect. I can almost guarantee it. Though, some of you probably tried skipping to the end. Trust me, you would prefer to read the whole thing.

In this story, you'll learn of my last living days and my crazy, messed up, and deranged love life. It's kinda like a dragon ride that ends with a plummet, straight down.

You should know that I have two boys, currently, fighting over me and an ex that will barely talk to me. Of the two fighting over me, one is a prissy prince and elitist, the other is a vampire. My ex boyfriend is more like a flaming marshmallow with a hard, outer shell. He's a phoenix demon and king of Tartos, a fiery badland to the north of Sapphiros.

I liked them all as friends, but it all ended on that one fateful night.

It was early in the evening. The sun had just begun to dip below the horizon and Darby had just finished making dinner, venison and potatoes, just like Mom used to. Earlier, we had had a long, hard battle with a giant that was terrorizing a village. We won in the end, but it took us hours to do so. It was exhausting. Though, I was still excited for tonight.

"Hey, do you think we could go out tonight?" I asked Darby as she sat down. She gave me a funny look. I was hoping that she would wish to stay at home that night.

"Why? There's nothing going on. Well, nothing that we were invited to, anyway. Plus I'm too tired to go anywhere, hun," answered Darby. I wasn't going to argue. I hadn't told her about my plans at that time. She would have freaked out. She insisted on coming everywhere with me and I was told she couldn't come with me.

Earlier in the month, I had adjust my sparring schedule with Leo Creed. Leo is the vampire. I moved one of the sessions from the night of the party to the next day, because Prince Guthry 's party was that night. The prince is the ruler of Sapphiros and a bit of a wimp. The only thing he's good at is looks. Even so, his personality tended to mess up his chances with girls.

"No reason." I had to lie. If she knew I would have been toast. She was so over protective of me. I knew that she only wanted the best for me, but I had my own plans. I was eighteen and knew that I could make my own decisions.

I had all, but forgotten about my plans, almost an hour after eating. I had gone to bed early that night and had falken, almost instantly, asleep. It wasn't long, before I was woken up, again.

Author's Note: I decided to write this in August of 2013, so it has been modified a bit.
