Leo Creed sat in the tree holding his right hand. It was severely burned and bloody, and it was dripping onto the grass. I was glad that he didn't realize that I was there. I stared at him in disbelief. He'd done the unthinkable and punched Ulric. Even worse, it was in the face.

"Leo," I whispered. It was almost a gasp. He jumped and froze for a second, in surprise. I was afraid that he was going to fall out of the tree. Then, he looked down with a smile.

"Hey," the vampire replied cheerily as he jumped off the branch, cringing. His hand kept dripping blood and he was worse than I first thought. I grabbed his hand and he could barely hold back his wincing as his face contorted and he sucked in the night air. Even held steadily, the semi-cauterized wound stung him.

"We need to get this wrapped up. This could get infected," I said as I grabbed his wrist. I felt him flinch and his face twisted with pain even more. It hurt me to see him in so much pain, but I was so moved that he stood up for me like he had.

When we entered my house, Darby was still asleep and never knew I was gone. I soundlessly opened and shut the door. Leo and I cautiously stepped acrost the floor and made our way to my bedroom, where I left Leo.

I got the fist aid kit out of the cabinet. Exhuming the alcohol, a bowl, and gauss from the box, I handed Leo a pillow. He gave me a quizzical, yet cocky look and tried to reject it.

"Trust me, you're going to need this. Bite it or scream into it if you need to. I think we'd both prefer if Darby stayed asleep." I thrust the pillow back at him. He rolled his eyes, but took it and covered part of his face in it, like a child. Then, I grabbed the alcohol and slowly poured some over Leo's wound, spashing it into the bowl. That's when he lost his cool and howled into the pillow. It continued for a couple of minutes, until I was done.

Tying the bandages gently onto his hand, I let out a sigh. It soaked up the blood, and he made a crack about not playing his guitar and having to extend our time apart this week. All I could do was laugh.

"Tell me something. What else happened in there? And I already know how that happened," I said, not taking my eyes off putting the med supplies away. His face went from pale(r than normal) to a small blush.

"Well, uh..." Leo sighed, knowing he couldn't tell a lie that I wouldn't be able know. "I kinda punched King Bumhole for, ya know. He decided to beat the undead snot out of me. He ended it by slamming me into a wall and I ended up breaking a table when I fell. Then, he and Guthry stormed off somewhere."

"Mmm..." I grumbled. "Don't you dare try and fight for me, again, or I'll end you myself. But, for now, suit off. But, keep your pants on."

"This better be going where I think it's going," he hissed with a sugary tounge. I rolled my eyes as he slowly unbuttoned his shirt. As he cast it aside, he revealed all the fresh injuries. One of them was a piece of the broken table, in his back. I had to take that out. Once it was, I bandaged it like I had done to his hand.

Once he was gone, I changed into my baby blue, cotton pajamas and went to bed. The only thing was, I couldn't sleep. As I lay awake, the nights events worried me.

'What is Ulric going to do? It's a crime to unjustly strike a king. Though, I guess you could say that it was justification for hurting me. But Ulric took it way to far.'

In the morning, I changed into my regular clothes, brown pants, white blouse, black, leather vest, black cape, and knee high, brown, leather boots. I went downstairs to find Darby was up and making breakfast.

When Darby set my plate of food down, she was a little scared when she saw droplets of blood on my hands. I lied and told her I'd had a bloody nose, from the cold weather, and forgot to wash my hands. She didn't think much of it afterwards, but had me wash up.

I scarfed down a plate of eggs and bacon, plus a piece of bread coated in jam, and headed out the door. I wanted to check on Leo, to see if he was alright. It was pretty easy, too. Darby was going to the palace of Lord Alpheus, her fiancé who is also the father of her unborn child and brother to Prince Guthry. So, while she was gone, I left for Leo's home in Banshee's Canyon.

On my way, I passed Castle Sapphiros, where the Royal Sapphirian Guards, the kingdom's top enforcement, were in a frenzy. Everyone was scrambling around. All shouting the same thing. "The prince is gone! The prince has been kidnapped!"
