Chapter 12
I was cold. Too cold. Freezing. Where was my heat when I needed it? I shivered for the millionth time. Wait...I opened my eyes. I was on Ratchet's berth. He was gone. Well that explained it. I sighed at how brilliant I was then climbed down the side of the berth. Once I was at the bottom, I stretched all of my muscles then walked under his berth to change my clothes.
I walked through the small opening in his door that he left for me so I could get out. I heard voices coming from the main room then hurried down the hall to see what was happening.
"-imperative that we obtain more energon. If we go on for much longer as is, if a minor injury is obtained, it will turn fatal," Ratchet was saying as I got closer.
"Then we shall storm the mine," the baritone voice said. "Ironhide, we shall require your expertise in weaponry on this mission."
"I've been wanting to destroy some Deceptichops." As the group came into my view, I could see that Ironhide was smirking.
"Autobots, roll out!"
After everyone was gone, I climbed the stairs. "What happened?" I asked Ratchet as I tried to decipher what was on the monitor.
"We located an energon mine. It's quite large and the Decepticons are currently mining it. If we can take control of the mine, it would be a great help to the Autobots."
"Oh. I'll have my fingers crossed."
Ironhide's POV
We all hid behind a group of boulders. My cannons were already warmed up when Prime gave the signal. I blasted every drone in my sight until none were left standing. The only problem was Megatron, the mech everyone had learned to despise, had shown up with Starscream and Knockout.
"Autobots, what a surpirse," he said with his tone drenched in acid. His optics scanned over each one of us until they landed on me. For a brief nanoklick, he really was surprised. He quickly replaced it with a smile. "Well if it isn't Ironhide."
"Megatron," I growled.
"It's been too long," he smirked as he stood up straighter.
"Not long enough if you ask me." I hated him with all my spark.
"I remember the last time we saw each other. Don't you?"
I would not remember. I must not remember. Keep it down. Don't let it resurface. I clenched my fists tightly as a knot formed in my throat. I let out a shaky breath and loosened up.
"Can't say I do," I answered him as calmly as I could. Every bot and con besides myself and Megatron seemed to be very confused at our exchange.
"Then allow me to remind you. It was when I killed that femme you loved so much with this very cannon." He held up the arm with the fusion cannon. It was the same one.
The memories I've been suppressing all these centuries resurfaced just like that. My spark broke for the second time in my life, but I couldn't break down. Not yet. I had to finished what was already started. Show no weakness. Show no mercy. Just like he did.
The shots coming out of my cannons were blazing as I shot at the Decepticon leader. He evaded them too easily and they hit the other Cons, giving them some serious, possibly fatal, injuries.
