Chapter 18
Third Person POV--national park--December 2114
The teenage couple treaded through the woods at an average pace. They loved the outdoors, so it was decided that a walk through the national park would be a great date. They loved to be alone in the great outdoors. No one could bother them as they exchange accounts of the previous day's events. No one could bother them as they gave each other heartfelt pecks on the lips every once in a while.
"You're too sweet for your own good, you know that?" Jason complimented his long-haired, bleach blonde girlfriend as his own shaggy brown hair fell into his eyes and he had to flip it back once again.
"So you've told me." Allison giggled as she grinned, showing her pearly white teeth. She stopped suddenly and crouched behind a tree. "Get down!"
"What is it?" he chuckled and crouched. "Think you saw a bear again?"
"No, I'm serious, Jason Harvey!"
That got his attention. He moved one of the branches aside so that he could see what she was seeing. "A Ferrari? In the middle of the woods?" he gaped. He quickly scanned the surrounding area. "You think the owner's nearby?"
"Well I wouldn't leave a foreign car unattended in the middle of the woods. Some wild animal could attack it. I would not want to have to pay that repair bill. Besides, don't you find it a little suspicious that there's a car in the middle of the woods? In a national park? Where there's not supposed to be cars?"
"I find it very suspicious. There's no way a ranger would have let them in. Looks like it came in from the back... I'm gonna go check it out." He jumped up and jogged towards the vehicle.
"What? No!" She jumped up as well and ran after him. "Are you crazy?"
"Relax, it'll be fine." Jason peered into the window, trying to see if there were any possessions inside. "Looks like it's been here a while." He pulled the door handle and was surprised when he found that it easily came open. He opened the glove box, hoping to find an insurance card that could identify the owner. He was shocked when instead of a card, he found a tablet. He pulled it out as Allison sat in the passenger seat.
"What's that?"
"I don't know...This is no regular tablet." Somehow, he managed to turn the device on. Both teenagers jumped at the image that was displayed. Depicted was an orange and white robot standing next to a black one. Both had glowing blue eyes. They seemed to be inside some sort of metal building.
They continued looking through the files of the device. They found several more photos of the two robots, a purple and black one which was faceless, and other robots with the same glowing blue eyes. Finally they found a what appeared to be a letter.

Although hardly any time has passed at all since Ratchet built me this Cybertronian body, I have decided to leave the Autobots in hope that their war with the Decepticons will be over once the 100 years on my stasis timer comes to an end. Before I began the journey to the location that I will spend the next century in, I cut all communication and deactivated my locator. I hope this will allow me to spend my time in stasis without the Autobots coming to look for me and once again involve me in the war that is not my own. Things were so much simpler when I was a human. I choose to spend the next 100 years in stasis so that I will not have to live with the agony of being without Ratchet, Ironhide, and Soundwave. I can't make them choose between me and serving the Autobot cause. Ratchet and Ironhide dedicated themselves to it when it first began. As for Soundwave, he may have just betrayed and left the Decepticons, but he did it for my sake. And for that, I see in him a pure heart, something the Autobots do not see. All they know is that he was sided with the enemy since the beginning of the war. Even the noble Autobot leader Optimus Prime cannot see the good in him. This was the reason I left in the first place. I cannot bare to be around someone who says they fight for peace, but lack the ability to see when members of the opposing force wish to be peaceful.
I do hope that those I regretfully left will be able to live the next century without me. They are thousands of years old, what's another 100? When I awake, I hope that I do not find that they have returned to Cybertron(leaving me as the only bot on Earth) or spent the entire time searching for me. This is why I have chosen this location as my sleeping spot. The Autobots cannot come here in their bi-ped forms without destroying the trees and wildlife. And I very much doubt that they will do as I have and illegally drive in through the woods. They will probably have thought I wouldn't go against any law. Hmm.
I especially worry about Ironhide. He already had to deal with Chromia getting killed. Now me disappearing off the face of the planet? I just hope he doesn't do anything drastic...I'd hate to hear that he abandoned the Autobots to search for me endlessly. He doesn't deserve to have to go through that. I do love him so much. I believe that even though my location has gone offline they can still see that I am well and not damaged. He will be the absolute first that I contact when I wake up.
Maybe by the time I wake up, someone will have stumbled upon me and taken me to their house to be their car. I am a Ferrari after all, and no one can resist a Ferrari. I just hope that person, should it actually happen. Is nice and not some criminal. I do not want to be known as the getaway car. That would suck. Then again, what criminal would go to a national park of all places? I think I made the right location choice. I don't mind helping someone out while I'm in stasis. I just hope they don't get mad and call the cops or something when I disappear after I wake up. That would suck. I'd have police on my bumper every time I went somewhere. That'd make it kinda hard to find and get back to my three mechs.
The time has come for me to go into stasis.
This is Beta signing off. Sweet dreams.
The two teenagers looked at each other in shock.
"Allison, you still have that alien conspiracy website pulled up on your phone?" Jason asked as he was still staring wide-eyed at the tablet.
"Way ahead of you," she smirked as she took pictures of the pictures and preceded to post them to the website. She wouldn't do the same to the journal entry. She wasn't cruel. "What about this car?"
"You read the journal. The car doesn't care if we take it." He cranked it up drove out of the forest. "We'll come back to get your car later."
"But it's going to wake up in 6 months, Jason. It's December of 2114. Maybe it would have been best if we had just left it."
He shook his head. "Needs to get the gears worked back up before it wakes up. It'll be able to move around better that way."
Allisonshook her head. She knew nothing shesaid would change the boy's mind. Itjust felt wrong to her to take the car. It was a human once. It still hada human mind. It felt wrong to use it,even though she wouldn't be the one doing it. She would make sure Jason treated it well.
