Chapter 6

Once we were back on the war ship, I was walked back to the medical bay where Soundwave was waiting for me. He took me from the Vehicon and set me next to Knockout. The heat instantly hit me. Why was it so hot in here? It felt like it was over 100 degrees.

"Did you get the stuff?" I asked. He nodded and pointed at a location further down the table. There lay my tools and numerous bottles of water. Awesome! I grabbed a bottle of water and gulped the whole thing down in seconds. Soundwave watched me the whole time.

"Inquiry: Is Jessica unwell?"

"I'm just very thirsty," I said as I fanned myself, sweat already dripping down me. "Man, it's really hot in here. You think you could lower the temperature? It's starting to give me a headache."

Soundwave nodded and something appeared on his visor. I guessed that it was a temperature gauge, and it was dropping rapidly. I was thankful for that. The air conditioning immediately came on. I decided to go ahead and get to work. I grabbed the welder and crawled under Knockout's armor.

I sighed. "This is going to take a while." I wiped the sweat from my forehead and started repairing the damaged energon lines.

Hours later, I had finally finished fixing the inside of Knockout. At least now, we could start filling Knockout back up with energon. I crawled out from inside him and looked at Soundwave. Surprise, surprise. He was staring straight at me. I was getting very creeped out. I shook my head to clear my thoughts.

"Hook him up to the energon machine," I instructed. Soundwave did as he told while I began repairing Knockout's armor.

A couple hours of welding later, I had Knockout fully repaired and filled with energon. The only thing left was cosmetic work. I had to buff out all of those scratches.

"Do we have a buffer?" I asked. Soundwave walked over to my line of tools and carefully picked one up. He set it in front of me. A human sized buffer. I picked it up and tossed my welder onto the table and buffed out all of Knockout's scratches so that he had a clean, glossy finish. I climbed down and set the buffer with the other tools. Even though he was shiny, he still had an infection.

"Do you have any antibiotics?" I asked. Soundwave looked at me blankly, saying nothing. I figured he didn't know what I was talking about so I asked, "Do you have anything that will get rid of infections?" He nodded and picked up a container with clear liquid and clicked it into a tool with a needle on the end. He slid the needle into Knockout's elbow and pressed a button, making the liquid begin to flow into Knockout. He took out the tool and lay it to the side.

"Alright," I began "he's fully repaired and should wake up any time." I wiped more sweat from my forehead. Why was it still so hot? And why was my sweat cold? Something wasn't right with me. "Hey, um, is there any chance that Shockwave's finished building my bathroom?" I asked, suddenly feeling nauseous.

Soundwave picked me up, and walked out of the medical bay, so I took that to be a yes. Soundwave didn't get there fast enough and I ended up throwing up on the floor, in the middle of the hallway, in the Decepticon warship. Megatron was going to have a cow. I had thankfully missed Soundwave's hand, but only narrowly. He seemed shocked to say the least. He looked at the vomit for a bit before he looked at me.

"Statement: Jessica is unwell. Jessica requires medical attention. Solution: Soundwave will take Jessica to Lord Megatron for orders." He opened his hand so that it was flat and I lied down on my back and looked up at the ceiling, breathing shallowly. I heard the door open when we walked into the command center.
