The next morning I woke up and the same routine as yesterday applied to today. I get up, eat breakfast, get changed and leave... Today was the first of my actual classes so I was looking forward to getting back into the training side of my dancing. I was running late so I had to hurry and get there fast.

Great, my first day of actual classes and I'm already late! Good going Brooklyn!

I arrived at Toronto Dance Academy and signed in. I ran over to my locker and then into studio A where everyone was sitting around listening to Alexandra and Blake talk about classes and everything for the year's schedule. I snuck in and sat at the back trying not to be noticed but it didn't work.

"Miss Evans, nice of you to join us..." Alexandra said.

"Sorry I'm late." I apologised.

"It's fine. Don't let it happen again." She warned.

I nodded and sat down. Some of the other dancers were looking at me and I saw Paris but when I smiled she rolled her eyes.

Okay then... I thought to myself.

I focused back to what Blake was saying and a few minutes later we were let go and everyone went off to their classes. I was still in Studio A where the barrè was placed in the corner. So I went there for a bit until whoever my teacher was, turned up. I put my pointe shoes on and walked over to the barrè. She turned up a few minutes later and told me her name was Piper and she'd be my teacher/choreographer for the whole time my ballet classes were scheduled. We started by doing some plié's and tondue's.

When Piper let me have a drink break, I grabbed my water bottle and sat down for a bit. I took off my shoes just to let my feet breath...I really need to get new pointe shoes because these ones are getting too small for my feet!

I was at my bag in the locker area when I heard music coming from Studio A so I went to investigate. The music sounded like it was a hip hop dance or something going on so I assumed some people were practicing a routine but when I got closer I saw a boy doing a bit of choreography.

I recognised some of his moves from yesterday's workshop so it must've been Elliot dancing. I couldn't help but stand there and admire his talent. He was pretty good and it was nice to see someone who had a similar passion for dance as me. He seemed to know what he was doing so I just stood there and watched as he flipped, jumped and did other hip hop moves. I'm not really familiar with anything other than ballet and contemporary so it was nice to see him do his thing.

The music finished and I couldn't help but clap.

"Great job. That was some pretty cool stuff you got there." I said.

He looked at me strangely and smiled. "Thanks. You're not so bad yourself, well from what I saw yesterday."

"Thanks." I said. It got a bit awkward until Elliot broke the silence.

"You're Brooklyn, right?" He asked.

"Yeah, Elliot?" I answered.
