"Kirstie?" Scott asked his girlfriend as he opened the door, holding a plastic bag full of food.

"You are going to be so loved little one. Wait until your father sees you! Oh he's going to freak out. Awww you're excited aren't you little Carter?" The man heard his girlfriend whisper to their newborn child.

"Hey." The blonde smiled as he saw Kirstin with her blonde hair pushed back in a ponytail, her glasses framing her face perfectly. She held one of the multiples in her arms, wrapped in a blue blanket like a burrito.

He kissed her lips, then looked down at the chubby newborn. "Hey there little noodle. I'm Daddy noodle." The man joked and booped his sons' nose.

Kirstie chuckled and looked at her boyfriend in awe of how happy he looked. "Do you want to hold him?"

Scott looked at her and nodded. "Could I?"

"He's your son, silly. Of course, you can." She laughed and carefully handed the little baby to him, telling him how his hand should be placed.

Of course, the cameramen were there to record the moment. They had cameras set up in multiple corners of the room and one guy had one on his shoulder walking around.

Once Scott took his son in his arms, everything went still. All he thought, heard, and saw was the little child in his arms. He already imagined the memories they would share with Carter's twin brother. The birthdays, the recitals, the soccer games and first crushes, the bedtime stories around the campfire, the graduations and off-key singing. Oh he couldn't wait.

He suddenly saw a tear on his son's face and realized it was his. He gently wiped it away and took away the tears only about to spill from his eyes.

He sniffed and then smiled, chuckling at the awkward situation. "He's so beautiful." He whispered, moving the cloth away from the newborns face. "He's perfect."

"You are going to be so loved. And remember that whatever you are, I will love you. I wouldn't care if you were Gay or not into singing, I won't care, I promise." He said for everyone to hear, but only directing it to the newborn baby.

Kirstin stared in awe, seeing how emotionally attached her partner was with their child. Imagine two.

Scott's face fell when he remembered why exactly he came here.

He nodded to the cameraman and he exited the room, leaving his girlfriend with her pierced eyebrow raised.

He set their child back into the little place he was brought into and came closer to Kirstie, taking her hand in his.

"Scott, you're scaring me. What's wrong?" Kirstin asked in concern.

He kissed her lips softly. "I-I don't know how to break it to you. It-It isn't great news." He stuttered, avoiding eye contact with his partner.

Kirst squeezed his hand "What is it, honey?"

"It's about Marcus."

Kirstin's' face immediately fell. "What about him?"

"They-" Scott wiped a stray tear from his cheek. "They took him in the NICU and told me he has an undeveloped lung. He-"

Scott couldn't stop himself from crying and Kirstie knew what he was going to say. She cupped her mouth in shock and a tear went down her cheek. She immediately took him in for a comforting hug.
