"Mom, why do we have to keep it a secret? He could help me. He could help me raise Scarlett." I whispered to my Mother as I rocked the newborn pink bundle in my arms.
"Just because, dear. You'll find out in a few years. Now, you're gonna be going to LA in a few days." She told me as she pulled out a plane ticket.
My eyes widened. "Mom I'm a minor! I'm only 16!" She then brought out another ticket.
"I got you an agent, and everything's covered. I'm doing this to help you, just go with the flow. Do it for Scarlett." She looked at her newborn granddaughter, my own offspring.
"Yeah, do it for Scarlett, maybe for Scott too." I nodded to myself as I looked down at my beautiful daughter. Scarlett Riannon Maldonado-Hoying, my secret, the truth I'll hide for Scott, for his own sake, for his own future.
~Six Years Later~
"Scarlett baby wake up!" I playfully woke up my little girl as she clutched onto her baby blue sheets. "Mama, I don't wanna go."

I sighed. "Then we won't be having Mac and Cheese for dinner." She instantly sat up as she scratched her beautiful blue eyes.
"Okay, Mama! Let's get ready." She pushed back her wavy blonde hair as she ran to her own bathroom. I laughed, but soon after I helped her take a bath and dressed her up in her uniform.
If you haven't noticed, my daughter is like a female version of her father, Scott Hoying. Same hair color, eye color, initials, and favorite color. All she has is my lips and face shape, that's it.
"Mama, this is my Daddy right?" She held up my phone to showed my home screen, which was a picture of Scott and I before I was pregnant. I snatched my phone from her. "Yes, now finish your cereal, Uncle Mitch will go with us to your first day in your new school," I told her before going up our house to get ready. Better look good if you're a rising star.
Yes, you heard that right. I am a rising singer/actress. I'm already getting noticed by the paps because of my story, how it's so inspiring. I hope Scott noticed me though, but I think he's too busy filming a movie and recording his new album too.
He's really famous now. Receiving Moonmans, Grammys, he almost won an Oscar! His songs hit number one in many countries, and he's starting to act, which landed him being one of the famous actors known. I am happy he's doing what he loves, I just hope he noticed me and our daughter.
I, on the other hand, am working on my new album, 'The Truth.' It consists of really sappy love songs, but it has that R&B vibe.
As I put on my outfit, I see Scarlett downstairs, playing some game in her iPad mini. "Come on Riannon, let's get you to school." I played with her since she hated her being called that. "Mama! My name is Scarlett! Not Riannon!"
"Well your birth certificate says, now come on, Uncle Mitch just told me he has something going on, so we have to walk." I don't have a car yet, and I decline using a limo because my agent told me 'it gives a statement' pfft, your breast implants make a statement, bitch.
As we walk down the sidewalks of Los Angeles, I got Starbucks for me, and one for Scarlett to keep her energized and satisfied.
"Okay Scarlett, you know what to do, you ma-"
"I have to make friends and introduce myself without the Hoying last name. I know Mama, don't worry. Bye!" She pulled me down to give me a quick kiss on the cheek before running to the teacher and waving at me. I sigh and at the same time chuckle as I wave back. As I walk back home, I put my hands on my black skinny jeans, before I heard a click and someone asking questions. Damn paps.
"Kirstie where's Scarlett?"
"Kirstie, will you tell us the father of your daughter?"
"Kirstie do you do drugs?"
I comment at that. "Do I look high to you?" I snapped before running back to my house, but it was hard since I was wearing heels.
As I run back home, I get a call from Mitch.
"Dude why do you-"
"Get in the car."
As soon as he said it, a range rover suddenly popped out of nowhere. I open the door to see Mitch and Avi, looking at me like If you don't get in the car, you'll die. literally.
I hopped in and greeted the two, but only Avi responded back. "Heeeeey Kirstay, did the paps follow you to Scar's school?" I shook my head.
After small talk, Mitch interrupts us. "If you want to be swarmed by paps, you have to get out." I look at the back, to see a small group of paparazzi running after the car. I curse before running out of the car, locking my door before sliding down to calm myself down.
Once I do, I talk to my agent through the phone as I clean the house, being bored as hell.
~
"THANK THE LORD IT'S ONE PM!" I praise as I grab my jacket quickly before running out of my house.
As I wait on a bench near the gate, I see a swarm of preparatory students run for their parents. I quickly spotted my six-year-old running with her baby blue backpack. "Hi, Mama!" She quickly gave me a kiss on the cheek and gave me a chocolate. "Where'd you get this Scar?"
"Our teacher gave us one each. All of them ate theirs, but I saved mine for you." I look at her, smiling like an idiot. "Aww my angel, thank you." I hug her tight, and we walked back home.
I was quietly humming to one of my original songs, 'I'm Right Here' before Scarlett quietly joins me as we hum together, saying a few lyrics.
As I was talking to Scarlett, I was too distracted to see some guy jogging in front of us. "Well- Ow!" I land on my butt as I almost dragged Scarlett with me.
"Oh my, I'm sorry, I really am! I was distracted and- I'm really sorry." The guy apologizes before letting out his hand to help me up. I gladly took it, and wiped my jeans, not looking up.
"I'm sorry."
It's fine, don't worry." I chuckle before looking up. As our eyes met, we just stay there, my knees about to weaken because of his beautiful eyes.
