Draco's point of view.
The day went by in a blur. I actually got her to smile. And that cute giggle of hers. It practically made my heart melt. After years of wanting to have her, she's finally starting to accept me. I've always had feelings for her. Even when her hair was bushy and her teeth buck. She would go off, spouting information like a walking encyclopedia. And I loved it. I played it off like I hated her but it was never true. Not for one moment. I was so disappointed to find out she was muggle born. I knew father would never accept her. Mother wants nothing other than my happiness. Father wanted to keep the blood line pure. But he's out of the picture now. I'm free to pursue Hermione now. If only she'd give me the chance..... No. No you're a Malfoy. You're not given things. You take them and make them your own. That's what I'll have to do with Granger. But she would never let me. She doesn't trust me yet. It won't come easily. I'll have to make a plan.

Hermione's point of view.
I was sitting under the cherry blossom tree. It's petals starting to fall, the smell is intoxicating. Falling petals made ripples in the dark icy water. A book propped in my lap as I reread it for the millionth time. Reading is my favorite way to escape. At the moment, I'm reading about the tragic love between Romeo and Juliet.
These violent delights have violent ends
And in their triumph die like fire and powder
Which, as they kiss, consume.
One of my favorite lines. I've always loved the classics, especially Shakespeare. I've read this line a thousand times, but today it reads differently to me. I've been confused like this a lot lately. I don't understand why, and I don't like it. I slammed the book shut in frustration, and gazed up at the falling petals. The breeze softly moved them, making it seem like they were dancing. I breathed in the smell and fell in love with it. Smells like home. When I was little mum planted a cherry blossom tree in our back yard. That's why I love them so much. They remind me of mum. Well shit, now I need a distraction. Might as well make some more perfume while I'm here.

Draco's point of view
Step one. Get her to trust me. It's Saturday and she wasn't in the great hall for dinner. Where could she be? I don't think she'd be in her common room. She wouldn't stay in bed because that would only attract attention from others. The library is closed. She doesn't know the secret about the room I made for her. That leaves one place. The black lake. I changed out of my robes and into street clothes, sprayed on cologne, and headed out. My wand in my back pocket. I was halfway down the hall when bright red hair caught my attention. Great. It's potter and both the Weasleys. The weaslette looking as fiery as her hair. Once she saw me she slammed a palm against my chest and pushed me into the wall. "Where's Hermione?" she spat at me. " What do you mean where is she? And why would you automatically assume that I know?" I asked as calmly as I could. Granger wouldn't like it much if I hexed her best friends. " Let me rephrase that. What did you do to Hermine?" "I didn't do anything to her." she made a nasty face and pulled out her wand. Don't get me wrong, I wasn't scared, but I've seen her famous bat bogey hex, and I did NOT want to be on the receiving end of it. " Why should we believe you?" I put my hands up in surrender and said" Because for once, I'm actually telling the truth. I didn't do anything to Hermione. I wouldn't hurt her." Shit. That slipped. The weaslettes force softened and then she let go completely. She had a strange look in her eyes that I didn't liked. How much did that one sentence give away? " Well if you didn't take her, who did?" said Potter. Sure. When his girlfriend is man handling me he doesn't say a word, but NOW he chooses to speak. " Did it ever cross your mind that maybe she wasn't taken? Maybe she went some where on her own? She doesn't have to be tied to you three at all times you know." I said as if it were obvious. Which it was. Honestly, they've been friends with her for years. They should know this stuff. " We looked every where she'd go. Her room, the common room, the library, the astronomy tower, we even asked the teachers and Hagrid. They haven't seen her all day. We thought since the two of you are partners you might be with her, but when my Darling Ginny saw you walking down the hall with a creepy smile, we thought you must have done something" Potter said. Oh of course they blame me. "Did you check the black lake? It's one of her favorite places." I said. " The black lake? When did she start going there?" the Weasel king asked. I wasn't going to respond, if I did I would either thank him for giving me a chance with Hermione, or kill him for hurting her. It's no secret he cheated on her with Parkison. She can't keep her mouth shut so twenty minutes after it happened the entire school knew. "Come and see. I was heading there anyways." I walked down the corridor and out the doors into the crisp fall air. In a matter of minutes the black lake was within my sight. As was the petite brunette witch suspended in mid air, picking cherry blossoms. "Hermione" screamed Ginny. Granger turned around. She must have lost her focus because now she was falling. " Hermione!" I screamed. Again. I found myself running to save the girl. But this time it was an accident. She didn't jump. She doesn't want to die. She can't. I can't lose her. I caught her. Not in the smooth bridal style way I had before. Actually, it was more like I just softened her landing. She fell on top of me and I wrapped my arms around her. My hand reached up and started to stroke her hair. She's safe. She's okay. Cherry blossoms started to rain down on us and at the same time, she lifted her head. She smiled and started to laugh. I did too. " This seems familiar." I said between chuckles. " Quite familiar." she agreed. " At least I can always count on you to catch me." I couldn't help but to smile. I looked up at those beautiful brown eyes. I found myself getting lost in them. Our laughter died down, until we were just looking into each others eyes. She moved slightly. It brought her closer to me. Her plump pink lips only inches from mine. Closer. Only an inch away. "Hermione! Oh thank Merlin! You're okay. Come on, I'll help you up." The Weaslette grabbed her and pulled her up. I sat up and ran my fingers through my hair. So close. Damn the weaslette. The friends took turns hugging her. But when Ronald tried she refused. Good. " Thanks for catching me Draco." She called me Draco. I smiled. " Anytime Hermione" I said. "Come on Hermione. I....... Need help with something." said the weaslette. Well that's a lie if I've ever heard one. Looks like it's time for girl talk. Poor Hermione.Woohoo! They almost kissed! Next up the girl talk and how Hermione feels about Draco. Until then. Peace. Love. And DRAMIONE!!!!
