Hermione's point of view

She woke up in a strange bed. In a strange room, with an all too familiar feeling. The stiffness in her joints, the reluctance of her eyelids to open, the wetness on her cheeks. She had cried herself to sleep. That was nothing new, but this place, this bed. It was all new. The room was beautiful. It had bookcases mounted on all the walls, pretty much the only surface not covered in books was a large bay window, with red and gold curtains. The view from it was astounding. To her left was the dark forest, to her right, the black lake. She looked at the books to see what was there. It ranged from children's books, all the way to Shakespeare. The strange thing was, she knew all of them. It was like a room made specifically FOR her. She checked the clock on the bed side table, it was almost time for class. There was no way she could make it to her dorm and to class on time. She looked to the far wall and saw that there was a crack between the book cases. No way. She thought. She walked towards it, and pushed. The door swung open and inside was clothes, shoes, belts, jewelry. Boxes and boxes of jewelry. Everything in the closet was her size. It had muggle clothes, Hogwarts robes, night gowns, and beautiful dresses. She grabbed her robes and changed into them. She walked out to see yet another crack in the wall. She opened it to see a large bathroom, with a vanity mirror and makeup. She brushed her teeth and hair, applied a fine amount of makeup, and put on her shoes. She grabbed her bag. She didn't know how it got there, but she didn't have time to question. She ran down a winding staircase, a familiar one. Was her wonderful room just the astronomy tower? She hurried down the corridor, to the dungeons. She got to class and to her seat next to Malfoy, not a moment too soon, because the second she did Slughorn called the class to attention. They were given a project. They had to create their own potion, name it, explain it to the class, and demonstrate it. They had two weeks. This is going to be complicated. AND I have to work with Malfoy. You could have a worse partner. A small voice in her head said. He did come after you yesterday. It said. And comfort you. I know, I know, thought Hermione. She looked at the blonde boy and thought of how he had changed. He didn't mock her. He was actually kind of nice. He acted more like a friend than Ronald. Suddenly she's thinking of that amazing room. Had Malfoy been the one to put her there? She thought back to the last thing she remembered. Sitting in Malfoy's lap, crying on his shoulder. His arms were wrapped around her, holding her, trying to comfort her. She'd must have fallen asleep. It was hard not to, he was comfortable and she could hear his heartbeat. Which was like a lullaby to her. It had to be him. But why did he go to such lengths? She didn't know. She doesn't like not knowing. I suppose it's time you find out. Said the voice. She needed to know. She will just have to ask him. Soon.

Draco's point of view
Slughorn gave them the rest of the class to figure out what they wanted to do. " What do you suppose we should do?" he asked. It was the first time he had spoken to her since he had kissed her goodbye and goodnight. He looked towards her and noticed how different she looked. Her once unruly hair now fell into natural waves that resembled flowing Carmel. He noticed the light layer of makeup. Normally, he preferred her without makeup. She has a certain natural beauty that most women strive for. However, he couldn't help but to notice how eyeliner made her wide chocolate eyes grasp his attention and make it nearly impossible to look away. So beautiful. He thought. "I suppose we could try to make a love potion. Or a healing potion. I guarantee Parkison and Brown are making something to do with their hair. So it won't be hard to beat them." and brilliant. He thought. Without really thinking about it he said, " You're brilliant Hermione." She gave a slight laugh, almost like a giggle. He couldn't help but to smile. Adorable. He thought. " So how do we decide?" He asked. " We could flip a coin." she said. "Or, you know, we could go to the....... LIBRARY" she said the last word as if it were taboo. He jokingly hissed, like going to the library would mean death. " No! Anything but the library! I'll never survive!" she laughed and realized she was actually having fun. "I know, I know. Thousands of books and endless knowledge. Its awful, isn't it?" She said. He nodded his head and got into fetal position. He started to rock back and forth, muttering something about paper cuts. She burst out into laughter, drawing the attention of everyone in the room. They glared back at them, Draco laughed with her. She asked Slughorn if they could go to the library, being the teacher pet that she is, she always got what she wanted. They gathered their things and headed towards the library, Hermione's second favorite place. Hopefully third now. He hadn't told her that he was the one that made the room for her. He didn't know where to take her, so he made a place. But he got carried away in doing so. At first he just put a bed and a change of clothes. But then he thought that a princess like Hermione deserved the royal treatment. So he transfigured everything until it was fit to hold her. They turned a corner into the library, and stacked piles and piles of books that would help them. They read through them, and jotted down notes. Occasionally looking away long enough to throw paper wads at each other. They joked, and kicked each others seats. Eventually it was time to leave. Draco gathered his things and walked away. Thoughts of Hermione filling his head.

Hey guys, I know it's been a while since I've posted. I'm sorry, I have a lot of stuff due. Tell me what you think. Should they do a healing potion or a love potion? Leave comments. Until next time.
