Rosie's POV
Everyone scattered themselves around town to try and prepare for the fight which was to happen in less than an hour and no one had seen Regina since Zelena challenged her. I woke up about half an hour ago but Belle was still asleep and I didn't want to wake her so I left, I was filled in on everything almost instantly. "Rosie can you go see if you can figure out what Zelena's doing?" Emma asked, I barked and nodded before darting into the woods. I sat at the edge of the forest and watched the farm house carefully, there was no sign of Zelena just yet. A few moments before the sun set the storm cellar door swung open and out came The Dark One with Zelena following close behind with his dagger clung tightly in her hand. Regina didn't stand a chance if Zelena had Stiltskin on her side, I darted back towards town to find Ruby, I picked up her scent and followed it. I found her a few seconds later on the edge of the woods "did you find anything?" She asked urgently, she had to get back and I couldn't risk Zelena seeing me "Zelena will be here in a few minutes and she's bringing the Dark One with her" I growled, she nodded and bit her lip "i'm going back to Gold's shop now to make sure Belle is safe" I whimpered, she nodded and made her way back to town to warn everyone and I took off running towards the pawn shop. After a while of trying to open the door and a while of failing Belle opened the door "Rosie?" she questioned as I walked inside, she shut she door after me "what's wrong?" she asked with a yawn, I think I may have accidentally woken her "oh nothing just a witch fight" I muttered hoping that the potion had worn off, she gasped "what?" she asked, well shit. It appears that the potions affects are still going "as I said earlier, Zelena went with her plan to challenge Regina" I corrected, she nodded and made her way back into the back room. She picked up a book and sat down on the bed "did I wake you? I'm sorry if I did" I whimpered as I leapt up next to her, she smiled and stroked my head "its okay" she giggled, I sat down and lay my head on her stomach "you know, i'm beginning to wonder what you are like as a human and not a wolf" she asked as she read, I frowned. Even I was beginning to wonder that as well, I've been in my wolf form for almost two years even I'm forgetting what its like to be human. I sighed "i'm not even sure of that myself" I confessed, she shot me a confused look "I've been a wolf everyday for almost a year, I was human barely a day before I turned again" I explained, she frowned and stroked my head softly. She turned a page "how old are you anyway?" she asked, Belle never met the human form me. I looked up at her "how old do you think I am?" I challenged causing her to smile, she thought for a moment before answering "um.. I would say 17 judging the way you act" she offered, I barked and shook my head. She laughed as I cuddled closer to her "i just turned 11" I whimpered, a small gasp escaped her mouth. Honestly, she was old enough to be my mom. Belle was at least in her early thirties regardless of being frozen for 28 years "how can someone so young be so strong?" she whispered, I looked up and sadness crossed her face. I whimpered "i was hidden from the others in my pack, my mother kept me hidden and excluded. She wasn't much of a mother, she barely spoke to me, she came to me to give me meals and then she would leave again." I started, Belle shifted as she put down her book "After she died it wasn't long before the Queen's Black Knights came and wiped out the rest of the pack, I've been a wolf ever since. I was alone from then on out and it was basically kill or be killed" I let out a small whimper as she wrapped me into a hug, I cuddled closer to her "I'm sorry Rosie" she said softly, I licked her cheek "it doesn't matter, in less than a week you'll get to meet the real me but I wouldn't assume that i'll be staying that way" I stated, she stroked my ears gently "and why's that?" she asked, I let out a small whimper "because being a wolf is all I know, I would deliberately turn when I was younger because I liked the feeling. I know more about being a wolf than I do being a young girl" I explained with a frown. I heard a bang against the door which caused me to leap to my feet, I let out a fierce growl "Belle" I heard a voice gasp, it was a male voice "Rumple" she whimpered softly as she tried to get up but I was quick to shove her back down "no! Zelena brought him with her! He is under her control, until we find a way to get the dagger off her he isn't safe" I growled, her face saddened. I kept this from her for her own protection, I knew too well that if she knew Stiltskin would be here she would go after him and it would probably result in her getting hurt. She nodded and sat back down, a tear fell down her cheek "back home doll" I heard Zelena snap before a small gust of wind whirled outside. Belle sat there and sobbed, I nuzzled my face into her neck in an attempt to cheer her up, it half worked. She lay down and picked up her book, I lay my head down on her stomach as she began to read. Everything was silent. The book suddenly fell from her hand, I looked up to find she had fallen asleep. I leaned over and grabbed a book mark off the shelf between my teeth and lay it gently inside the book before taking it in my mouth before hopping off the bed and laying it gently on the floor. I hopped back onto the bed and tried my best to cover Belle with the blanket that was sitting in a ball, I cuddled myself into her side and was soon asleep myself.
Ruby's POV
Zelena was up in the clock tower with Regina and Emma was freaking out. I looked over at Gold who had lightened up slightly, he suddenly took of in a run towards his shop. I looked over at Emma "Zelena took her mind off him, he's free for the time being" she shrugged as she darted towards the clock tower. I stayed down here and I suddenly saw a wave of green smoke. I made my way up to the top of the tower and saw Emma helping Regina to her feet "your alive" I let out a sigh of relief. Sure I had a thing against Regina, everyone in the town did but I could see that she wanted to change, that something was different about her. She scoffed "she wanted my heart but she didn't get it" she said as she straightened her clothes "I hid it, the one thing I learned from my psycho mother" she said, a small smile crossing her face. Regina and Emma headed home and I headed to Golds shop to check on Belle and Rosie. I walked in and everything was silent, I walked towards the back and smiled at what I saw. I saw Belle with a tear stained face with a small Rosie curled up protectively against her chest, the blanket around Belles arms was in a ball. I figured that Rosie tried but couldn't quite get it, I walked over and fixed the blanket making sure that Belle would stay warm and with Rosie pressed against her I don't think that would be a problem. I smiled and walked out, I headed home and fell asleep the moment my head hit the pillow.
Rosie's POV
I woke up still pressed against Belles side, she moved slightly and let out a sleepy groan "morning" i said but she didn't respond, my guess was that the potion wore off. She looked down at me and smiled "morning Rosie" she said petting my head before getting up. She headed out front and came back a few moments later "I'm going to have to see If Rumple can use his magic to make this permanent or something once we get him back" she said with a small giggle, I licked her cheek "I'm gonna head to Granny's to check on Red" I barked, she nodded and stood up "I'm going to go home and shower, I'll see you later Rosie" she tickled me under the chin before we parted ways. Belle was crumbling but she had hope, that is how you know her love for the Dark One is real. I don't know how she does it, I think everyone would have the common sense to know that it is easier to hate the Dark One than love him. I didn't hold anything against Stiltskin, he never did anything to threaten or hurt me or my pack, he was just a bystander that left us be. I don't think he had much use for us. Granny's door was perched open so I made my way inside "mornin Rosie" said Granny with a smile, I let out a small bark in response. Everyone in the Diner basically ignored me, it was as if I wasn't even there and I liked it that way. I looked up at the clock it was 9.30am, okay I slept for a pretty long time and apparently so did Belle since she slept for longer than I did. I sat down in my usual place next to the counter when Granny set a plate of bacon down in front of me "enjoy" she said before patting my head and walking away, it was breakfast rush and Granny's was packed as usual. Ruby was working so I decided not to bother her so I ate my bacon quietly. When I finished I took the paper plate between my teeth and placed it inside the open trash can "your a smart wolf" I heard a voice front behind me causing me to jump, I turned and saw Henry smiling down at me "if only you knew kid" I barked but I knew he couldn't understand me, I laughed before walking away and sitting with his mom. I watched them carefully, it must be difficult for Emma to lie to her son and not to mention Regina! She can't even look at the boy without looking like she could break down and cry at any given moment. Business finally slowed around 11ish and Ruby made her way over to me "morning Rosie, sorry I couldn't say hi when you first came In" she said scratching behind my ear, I licked her hand "you were busy it's fine" I barked happily, she smiled "I'm gonna go and see if I can figure out what Zelena is up to" I growled, she nodded and hugged me "just be careful" she said before heading off back to work. I ran out the door and straight into the forest. This is were I felt most at home, this is where I felt free. My thoughts travelled to Belle, she didn't come to Granny's and I started to wonder where she had gone, she's hurting, she's heartbroken. She's clinging on to hope that we can get Stiltskin back from Zelena and that we can set him free. I sat at the edge of the forest and stared over the land that the farm house laid on, I debated for a moment before heading towards it.
