Chapter 6

I opened Nyx's door and went in where I shook her awake. "Come on Nyx. You've had your fun, let's go."

Nyx pulled her blankets tighter around yourself. "Go where." She mumbled.

"Out."

"Out where? Its the weekend, you never make me go out." Nyx complained.

"We're going out to the movies. Just you and I." I answered.

This got her to lower the blanket and look up at me, revealing her bare shoulders, telling me just like she said, she was naked.

However I tried my very best not to look down.

"Are you taking me up on my offer?" She questioned.

"I was suggesting we go as friends. But if you want to try dating then we can." I shrugged.

This got her to smirk. "You're asking me out."

"I am not, let's just go." I growled before heading out of her room.

Truth be told I wanted to see the damage Dom had done to the surrounding area. The movie theater was the closest so I figured it would be the best bet. However when I thought about going, I also thought about the way Nyx had flirted with me, and wanted to go with her. I didn't know if it was because I liked her, or if I wanted to see how far she would go with her flirting.

Nyx came down the stairs a bit later, still pulling her shirt over her head. "Alright, what movie are we seeing?" She asked.

"Avengers Four or something."

"There's only two and it's been out for a while."

"I haven't picked a movie. I wanna see what's there."

"You're supposed to pick the movie first you know."

"We can pick in the car."

"We might have to wait an hour. Come on. Sit down with me and learn how the real world works." She laughed and moved over to the couch. I groaned and sat next to her as she pulled out her phone and googled movie show times at the nearby theater.

"See? Look at that. There's not a single movie playing within the hour." She noted.

"I wanna go see the damage nearby." I admitted. She looked at me like I was crazy.

"Why would you want to see it?"

"I'm curious." I told her. "I want to know what's going on just as much as the next guy. And I won't learn shit by listening to the news blow it out of proportions."

Nyx looked towards the TV like she didn't believe a thing I had said. Like for a moment she couldn't believe how I thought the news was lying.

"Alright. we'll go check it out then. But afterwards, we're going to see Fantastic Four."

"Looks like a shitty movie to me."

"Well Avengers Four isn't out yet, so we'll have to make due." She rolled her eyes as she stood up.

I laughed and stood up myself and followed her to her car. "You're driving?" I asked.

"Of course I'm driving. You woke my ass up so we're going my way." She told me.

"Fair enough." I climbed in the passenger's seat and we drove off.

She drove by the police lines, who motioned for us to detour to a different direction, and I almost got out of the car and flashed my Guild Badge. Luckily I managed to contain myself. Nyx looked at the chaos with a look of almost guilt.
