Alyssa's POV

Me and the boys get to working on a new song that night even though I don't want to leave Ella unattended near Matt.

She may want to steal my boyfriend but she is actually caring, besides not caring about me, funny, and sometimes awkward. She has those times, like when watching a movie, she'll care about that person as hope they get better. Ella also tells very funny jokes. She says comebacks almost instantly, it's crazy. Whenever things become awkward, she makes it worse, causing us all to laugh. For some reason, we have put past "I'm going to take Matt from you' us. For now. But that does not mean I am going to let it slide.

"Hey, Alyssa, I have actually already written a song so we don't have to write one today," Luke says, only making eye contact with me once for two seconds.

"Okay," I say. "Do you have it?"

"Yeah." He pulls folded up paper from the pocket of his skinny jeans and hands it to me. Our fingers meet for a brief moment before he pulls hand back.

I unfold the paper, noticing the messy handwriting, and read over the lyrics. They're great!

"Let's go over it then," I say. I put the piece of paper in the middle of the round table so everyone can see it. I look at Ashton as he reads the first part and he rocks his head back and forth. I think he must like it.

They start singing together.

"Started out like in the movies

But it ended like a bad dream

Curtain opened, heard the crowd roar

This one's a repeat, seen it before

Rewind to the start before it all went wrong

What's going on?

Fast forward to the end, after everyone's gone home, oh

And they've forgotten it all

This ain't a movie that I wanna see

A tragic story, starring you and me

Yell "cut", we're stuck inside this scene

This is heartache on the big screen

The clock is ticking, and I'm out of time

The camera's rolling, and I forgot my lines

My script is ripped and now I see

This is heartache on the big screen

This is heartache on the big screen

Curtain closes on this cliché

A good story of a bad day

Back to square one, where I started

As I stand here, broken hearted

Fast forward to the end, after everyone's
gone home, oh

And they have forgotten it all

This ain't a movie that I wanna see

A tragic story, starring you and me

Yell "cut", we're stuck inside this scene

This is heartache on the big screen

The clock is ticking, and I'm out of time

The camera's rolling, and I forgot my lines

My script is ripped and now I see

This is heartache on the big screen

If Hollywood could see me now

I'd get the starring role

But they won't so I'll just keep on acting a fool

This ain't a movie that I wanna see

A tragic story, starring you and me

Yell "cut", we're stuck inside this scene

Yeah

The clock is ticking, and I'm out of time

The camera's rolling, and I forgot my lines

My script is ripped and now I see

This is heartache on the big screen

This is heartache on the big screen

This is heartache on the big screen"
