Chapter 10

*Iris' P.O.V*

Shit. Fuck... me.
"Fuck.." I breathe quietly.
Lou and Maddy have their headphones in and I thought Hannah did too but she looked up at me confused.
"What?" She says laughing a little.

"Fuck!" I say again smiling now and looking up at her. I show her the text Mikey just sent about me being named Baby Girl💜 on his phone.
Hannah's eyes slowly gets wider and then she looks back up at me.
"Fuck!" She repeats.
Lou and Maddy unplug their headphones curiously and have a similar reaction.

I quickly type a reply into my text but delete it a couple of times not trying to sound too eager. Ugh what the fuck I'll just send it!

Me:
Mikey it's fine! Baby Girl is cute😌 it's not as bad as what's in my phone... I don't even remember naming you it!

I send it quickly after hearing the tannoy saying Chelsea and that it was our stop and Lou, Hannah, Maddy and I all hop off and head towards our next train.
The next one is shorter and we get off at our stop wandering back to Maddy's house.

"Oh yeh, I forgot to say sorry guys that we couldn't have just stayed at mine, it probably would've been easier but my parents wouldn't have liked it seeing as they haven't been here for a couple of days." She says apologetically putting the key into the lock clumsily

"Nah it's fine, we got a house party out of Lou's aunt's place so it's a win!" Hannah says cheerily and Maddy stumbles with the lock eventually being able to turn it.

That evening not much happened. In fact it was kinda dull, we all had post concert/post meeting 5sos/post all-hooking-up with 5sos blues.. They were some severe blues.

It took Mikey a while to reply but I don't blame him. They're all so busy to be honest.

Ikr! Sorry for the late reply by the way, I was on the plane to Germany!

We talk for the rest of the day. Only light talk but he's being all cute and that's really nice.

I try not to get to worked up though, I mean he's Michael Clifford. It's not gonna go anywhere really...

The next day we talk for a bit but not for long because he has to leave for soundcheck.
We talk for a couple of days after soundcheck, and he face times me once, the next day he's too busy and he doesn't message me the next day...
Or the day after that...

Or the day after that...

I try to stop noticing after that.
It's kind of hard though because Lou Hannah and Maddy are all still talking to the rest of them. Maybe Michael just wanted to hook up with me... Meaning like... Properly like... In bed.
Because we didn't do anything. I hope not. No. He's not like that. No. He wouldn't be like that. He's just busy. I hope. Ugh what am I kidding he's bored.

The girls have picked up on it so try not to message the other boys too much with me around.

"Guys I'm a big girl I can take it!" I snap at them when Maddy gets a call from Luke asking if she wants to Skype but she looks at me and says she will later.

"Iris I'm sure he'll text you at some point, do you want one of us to ask about him?" I appreciate their help.. But I don't want it.

"No no no! I don't want him to think I'm pushy or anything.." I trail off and then I go upstairs and sit in my room watching 3 hours straight of Grey's Anatomy on Netflix.

The next morning I wake up and after checking my phone I realise I have a text.

Hey Iris, sorry I haven't talked recently. It's been busy:/:)

But it was from last night, obviously just after I went to sleep because it came through at 11:17.

Me:
It's okay

I didn't know what else to say. I was annoyed at him, but not annoyed enough to ignore him. He didn't reply again.

It's been a week, a shit week, since Mikey texted me.
For fuck sake. He acted as if he was really interested in me!
I don't understand.

*Michael's P.O.V*

I don't understand. I didn't want to seem hugely desperate because I don't want to push her away, I didn't message her one day and then it got super busy, so busy I couldn't keep a conversation with anyone. And now she's mad. Shit. I should've texted her earlier.
I'm such a fucking idiot. But then when I did text her she might as well have ignore me. I don't get it.

Maybe I should leave her I don't want to annoy her or push her away more. Although that didn't help last time I thought that with Laura.

I don't know what to do.

"Yo Cal?" I call over at him from my bunk.
"What?!" He calls back.
"You're a ladies man I need help dude!"
"You can come to me I'm not shouting!" He calls me over and I haul myself out of my bunk and over to him.

"What's up dude?" He says looking up from his phone when I sit down opposite him.
"It's Iris.." I say quietly looking down at my phone feeling almost slightly embarrassed.
"What did your titanic pick up line not work eh?!" He jokes but I give him a look.

"You really like her then?" Calum asks being more serious.

Under my breath I then mumble,
"I really do."
