~Joes POV~
"So remind me, why am I doing this again?" I stepped away from the now fully blown inflatable bed and turned to my sister Zoe.
"Because you're the best broseph in the world Joseph!" Zoe replied chuckling.
"Yeah, I know that, but who's staying over? Louise again?" I asked.
"No, for the last time, it's for Binky! I swear Joe, whenever I tell you things it just goes in one ear and out the other!" exclaimed Zoe shaking her head jokily. Binky was Zoe's best friend from primary to college, her real name was Lydia, but Zoe had given her the nickname Binky because... well I actually don't know.
"I really really reaaally can't wait to see her! Eee" squealed Zoe
Once Lydia and Zoe left college Lydia went travelling for a year, with rare mobile signal, meaning that the girls were absolutely dying to see each other again, and have a well deserved catch-up.
"Yes Zo, I know I know, it's the only thing you've been talking about for the past week!" I laughed
*Ding ding ding* Zoe's phone buzzed
It must have been Lydia because within seconds another squeal was heard from Zoe as she got up and did a little happy dance.
"Lydia?" I asked
"Yeees! She said she'll be here in 5 minutes, she's just around the corner!" beamed Zoe
"Well I'm going downstairs to watch some TV, see you later" I said exiting her room. I really couldn't be bothered with another screaming girl at the moment, I could feel a headache coming on.
~10 mins later~
*Ding Dong* the doorbell rang
"Joe! Get the door, I'll be down in a second!" called Zoe down the stairs. I got up and opened the door to a beautiful blonde girl with the sparkliest of eyes.
"J-Joe?" the blonde beauty beamed
"Lydia?" I questioned back at her. She reached towards me and gave me a hug, wow she smelt amazing, a mix of sweet roses with a hint of vanilla.
"You look so different!'' exclaimed Lydia
I tried to act cool, "yeah well I could say the same about you" I said, giving her a cheeky grin. I studied her features, she really was beautiful. A change from the frizzy haired, spotty girl with braces that's for sure.
"Are you just going to stand there, or are you going to let me in?" questioned Lydia, half smiling "it's blooming freezing out here" she said rubbing her cold arms
"Oh no of course, um come in" I said ushering her in, "Zoe!'' I called up the stairs. Zoe came bundling down the stairs a huge grin on her face as she saw Lydia.
"Binky!!" grinned Zoe as she leaned in to give her a bear hug. "It's so great to see you! How are you? How was your travelling? Tell me everything! I hope Joe hasn't scared you off already." asked Zoe in a hurry. I groaned at her last question. Sisters eh?
"Slow down Zozeebo. I'm fine, could do with a cup of tea though. Travelling was amazing, best thing ever! And no Joe's been fine, he looks so different to when I last saw him though." replied Lydia looking up at me. I got butterflies when she said my name, what was happening to me? The girl that I'd known forever as my sisters best friend, who'd always been around and who I'd never really thought much of. I can't fancy my sisters best friend can I?
