Lydia's POV

We entered the flat following the snooty estate agent, it was the 4th floor up in a block of 6 with a lift and a code to go in the lift. So far things were looking up. It was in the best spot, and only around 10-20 minutes from where I was hopefully going to be working.

After a while of the man showing us around I knew this flat was perfect, yes the living room wasn't as big as I'd have liked but it was still lovely. It had two bedrooms, a kitchen, a toilet and a bathroom.

"Okay that is it, what are your thoughts?"

I looked up at Marcus who was mirroring the huge grin I had on my face.

"Well, we love it" he said.

"Do you need another viewing or is your decision certain?' he said pushing his glasses up an looking down on us.

"Can we erm have a quick chat?" Asked Marcus to which Mr Snootypants nodded and went out to the front of the place.

"Well what d'ya think Lyd?"

"I think it's perfect, I love it" I beamed

"Yeah, me too, shall we go for it?"

"Yeah let's do it."

We went outside and made the deal with the estate agent who said he would be here tomorrow with the official papers and keys. When he left Marcus gave me a high five.

"Yeaa muthafuckaas" he grinned. I got out my phone to tell Joe the good news, and Marcus did the same to his girlfriend Niomi.

"Hey Joe!"

"Erm hi? You sound excited, you like it then?" he sounded a little bit annoyed for some strange reason I couldn't put my finger on.

"Yeah it's so great, we decided to get it!"

"Oh, good for you" he said unenthusiastically.

"Right Joe what's the problem, you seem a bit off." I questioned

"It's just you've bought a friggin flat with Marcus. You're moving in with a boy that isn't your boyfriend, me."

Shit, I hadn't thought about it like that.

"Sorry Joe, me and Marcus are only friends, and Marcus has a girlfriend anyway."

"Yeah, I know, but now your far away from me, I'm going to have to get trains to come and see you." he said sadly.

"Well you can come and stay! Come on it'll be fine, don't worry Joe."

"Okay fine, but if I find you've even glanced at his Nicki, shit is gunna go down." he said jokingly. I laughed.

"Okay I won't, got to go, I'll see you soon, bye!" I hung up. Marcus was already off the phone but had his head in his hands.

"What's wrong?" I asked and sat on the grass next to him.

"Niomi took it the wrong way, she isn't happy about it."

"Yeah Joe was like that at first but I managed to convince him. When we get the flat all set up and our stuff there, invite her over for a bit, then she can see your fine living with me."

"Yeah I'll do that, your nice y'know Lyd, I can see us being best buddies." he said pinching my cheeks like a grandma. I laughed and shoved him off.

"Your not too bad either" I winked making him laugh, he glanced at his phone and his face dropped.

"What, what has she text you?"

"No, no it's not that, I only have 17% battery left."

"Really? You can't live without your phone for just a little while?" His eyes widened.

"Are you crazy?"

"If your that worried you can come and charge it at the hotel Joe arranged?" I offered.

Joe had arranged at hotel overnight because of Marcus and I's new flat, it would save time than having to go to and fro on the train from London back to Bath to sign all the papers.

"Could I?" he said with a puppy dog face.

"If that's supposed to be cute then your wrong." I gestured to his face "You look kind of deranged." We laughed.

We got the tube to the hotel and went into our room.

"Hey Joee" I called out.

Joes POV

I walked over to where Lydia's voice was coming from and stopped. she was with Marcus. I brushed off all the jealous feelings and plopped a kiss on her lips to prove she was mine.

"Hey, so tell me more about this flat?"

"It's great, perfect spot, and lovely inside, its bigger than it looks from the outside." I nodded. Marcus nudged her with his elbow and whispered loudly.

"Tell him about the lights!" Lydia nodded excitedly.

"In the living room there are 2 big standing lamp lights and you tap them to turn them on, and the more you tap the brighter they get!" she sounded like a 5 year old at Christmas.

I wandered over to the bed and tapped the light beside it, it was the same a the one she had described.

"Like this" I asked

"Yeah, we thought they were special." they're shoulders slumped and I stifled a laugh.

"Anyway as Marcus is just here to charge his phone, oh wait then you'll have to go home and back on the train won't you? That seems like a lot of hassle do you want to stay over?"

"For fucks sake." I mumbled quietly.

"Really do you think I could? That would be a lot of help." Marcus looked up at me.

"Erm yeah sure there's a sofa over there you could sleep on."

"Oh but I don't have any clothes with me."

"We're just gunna wear the same as today, and because girls are clever I always remember to take spare undies. she winked, pissing me off, she was talking about her underwear with Marcus for goodness sake. I joined in anyway.

"Yes however boys are also clever and turn there boxers inside out so ha!" I said making them both laugh.
