As soon as Charlotte got ahold of her letter, she quickly opened it-- but careful so as not to tear it apart. All of the adults watched nostalgically with soft smiles on their faces as they watched her reaction as she read the contents.

HOGWARTS SCHOOL OF WITCHCRAFT AND WIZARDRY

Dear Ms. Weasley,

We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Please find enclosed list of all neccassary books and equipment.

Term begins on September 1. We await your owl by no later than July 31.

Yours Sincerely,

Minerva McGonagall

Charlotte ran over to Professor McGonnagall and gave her a big hug. Her worries vanished and everyone congratulated her.

"We'll have to go shopping later." Mrs Weasley smiled broadly. "Have to get everything for the new school year."

Charlotte was overwhelmed with excitement and could hardly eat her trifle. The conversation around the table had shifted to the adults' memories from back when they were at Hogwarts. Along with Professor McGonagall, Professor Longbottom, Luna Lovegood, and a man that Charlotte had never met, Dean Thomas, had all decided to stay for dessert.

"Neville, do you remember in our first year when you caught me, Ron, and Hermione sneaking out of the dormitory late one night? We were about to find the sorcerer's stone. Dumbledore awarded you fifty points!" Harry laughed a little too loud-- a lot of fire whiskey had been drunken.

Professor Longbottom grinned, "One of my shining moments. Until I killed Nagini."

"Thank god you did, too!"

Ron spoke up, "Do you remember the first quidditch match against Slytherin when you swallowed the snitch? I swear to Dumbledore, mate, I thought you were throwing up or something."

"I still have that snitch somewhere."

"Dean, didn't you used to date Ginny? I remember I was so pissed at you I couldn't speak to you for months."

Dean laughed uncomfortably, "Yeah that's true."

Harry put an arm around Ginny's shoulder, "Well now she's with me Ron, so no problems."

"Did you guys ever swim in the black lake?" Charlotte asked.

"Nah, there's a massive squid in there! I don't want to go near that!" George joined the conversation.

"I did but I don't remember much of it," Hermione laughed.

"Ditto!" Ron grinned.

"I did actually. It was for one of the tasks in the Triwizard Tournament." Harry said.

"Why don't they have the Triwizard Tournament anymore? I want to do it!" Victoire exclaimed.

"Well," Harry began, sobering up a little, "There were two contestants from Hogwarts; myself and another lad named Cedric Diggory. Unfortunately Cedric was killed by Voldemort during the third task."

"But that was Voldemort, not the tournament!" Charlotte pressed.

Molly stood up, "Come on, Charlotte, Victoire, time for bed. The others are already asleep so be quiet when you go upstairs."

Charlotte and Victoire crept upstairs, cringing every time the stairs creaked until they made it back to Charlotte's bedroom. Mrs Weasley had undoubtedly quickly magicked another mattress at the foot of Charlotte's bed for Victoire to sleep on. There were no doubt mattresses everywhere in the house.

The two girls got dressed into the pajamas and then Charlotte flicked off the lights.

"Goodnight Victoire."

"Goodnight Charlotte."

Charlotte closed her eyes and soon she was fast asleep, dreaming about the coming year at Hogwarts.
