(JACOB'S POV)
I dragged her out of it and pulled her into a sitting position so that I could get a better look of her injuries. A large cut was across her forehead and a few scrapes trailed down her arms.
"Oh god, oh god, oh god..." I gasped worriedly. I was lost in a castle in the middle of the night with an injured girl who was unconscious - how could my situation get any worse? I hefted Charlotte up in my arms - she actually wasn't that heavy, and carried her down the hall. I looked around, searching anxiously for any familier landmarks - none.
Charlotte was still bleeding- somehow I needed to stop the flow, there was nothing around to wrap it up with. I sighed and took off my shirt- hoping that no one was around. I wrapped it around her head and continued walking, keeping my eyes peeled for something that could replace my tee.
The darkness engulfed the entire castle as it got later and later until it became nearly impossible to see.
I stumbled and tripped on a rug but just before Charlotte hit the ground with me, I caught her.
(CHARLOTTE'S POV)
My eyes fluttered open. What happened? I was on the ground,a pair of arms wrapped around me. Confused I rubbed my head- it stung and I felt a soft something wrapped around it.
I looked over, Jacob was on the ground next to me- he had obviously taken off his sweater was now wearing a white tee. What was going on, I spoke up, my voice hoarse, "Dude, put on your sweater!"
Jacob quickly looked at me, eyes wide with happiness "You're alive!! Oh thank you God!" He hugged me and I frowned, what was going on?
"What.. ah... happened? And why aren't wearing your sweater?"
He realeased me and began to explain, "Well, you sort of fell and you cut your head pretty bad - there was alot of blood. I wrapped my sweater around it because that was all I could find. Oh, and you were unconsious."
"I was what! You mean, you were carrying me around the castle for the past- what?"
"About two hours I'd estimate." Jacob responded.
"Well I think we should find the great hall- don't you?"
"Yeah, that sounds good."
We began to walk around again, much more careful now. "Oh, yeah, did you find your bathroom?" I grinned.
"Uh, yeah, I went in the one were you fell- it turned out to be a girl's bathroom but I didn't really care all that much at the time."
"Think I might take off the sweater now-"
"No- don't do that!" Too late, I had already pulled it off and I immediatly felt woosy because the pressure had been taken off. I collapsed, and Jacob didn't have enough time to catch me. I hit the floor again with a loud thunk...
(JACOB'S POV)
Charlotte was pulling off the sweater, her face immediatly became ashen and she began to fall to the floor.
"No!" I cried but she hit the floor before I could even stretch my arms out.
I grabbed the sweater out of her hand and wrapped it around her head again. I sighed and slumped down against stone wall. My arms were already aching from carrying her before. Might as well try and find the great hall or some sort of place that had people. I got up and lifted Charlotte gently in my arms.
Time passed- I soon lost track. I saw the sun beginning to rise up in the distance. "Charlotte wake up.." I began to mutter. I could feel it in my arms and my legs were hurting from walking all night. One thing that I was grateful for was the fact that it was a sunday - we had all gotten here on a satuday. That meant that we didn't have any classes and that Charlotte wouldn't miss any while she was recovering.
