Chapter 27 ~ Tension

Genesis P.o.v

"They try to romance me but you got that nasty and that's what I want!" I belted swaying my head from side to side. I had all of my windows down and since I was stopped at a red light I'm pretty sure everyone was staring at me. 

"So baby baby!! Come and save me!!!" I sang louder "Don't need those other lovers, when I got my number one!!!" I sang at the top of my lungs. By this time I was already parking my car in the parking lot of the dance studio we practice in. 

After I rolled up all my windows and grabbed my dance bag, I locked my car and made my way inside. I walked in and Gabe was sprawled out on the floor. I looked down at him raising my eyebrow at him.

"You okay there Gabe?" I giggled. He groaned looking up at me with tired eyes

"Why are you yelling at the top of your lungs?!" He whined. I giggled kneeling down next to him. 

"Gabe....are you hungover?" I said biting back my laughter. He sighed pouting slightly. 

"Yeah.....I kinda am" He mumbled. I couldn't help but to laugh harder. Gabe groaned grabbing his head in pain.

"Maybe you shouldn't have been drinking so much!" I teased. He rolled his eyes

"It wasn't my fault...David kept giving me shots after shots and I guess I had one too many.." He sighed. I cringed at the mention of David's name. 

"Well maybe next time you shouldn't hang out with David" I said in annoyance. 

"Awe...and why's that?" I heard someone say behind me. I turned around to find David staring down at me. I cleared my throat standing up. 

"Have you seen Gabe? he's a mess, and that's on you! What were you thinking going out for drinks when you knew we had an 8:00 rehearsal the next morning!" I said crossing my arms over my chest. David smirked

"You know...you're kinda cute when you're angry...and sorry, won't happen again" He winked and walked off. My eyes widened

"Dana is gonna kill him" I heard Gabe mumble. I turned to face him.

"Don't remind me" I said shaking my head. Almost as if on cue, Dana walked into the dance studio. I smiled slightly walking over to him

"Hey there handsome" I said wrapping my arms around him. He smiled down at me

"How's it going sweet thang" He smirked. I furrowed my eyebrows. 

"God please don't ever call me that again" I said shaking my head. Dana chuckled loudly. 

"Alright everyone, the sooner we start rehearsals, the sooner we can leave!" Our choreographer said with a grin.

"What is it with the yelling" Gabe groaned. Dana looked down at him confused

"What's wrong with Gabe?" He asked looking up at me. I sighed

"David took him out last night for some drinks apparently, now he's got a mean hangover going" I replied. Dana scoffed

" The more I hear about him the more I cannot stand him being in the band" Dana said in annoyance.

"You and me both" I mumbled

We went through with our rehearsals, and poor Gabe was in pain throughout the whole thing. Once we finished everyone grabbed their bags and began to head out. Dana was waiting for me by the door when I went over to the other side of the room to pick up my water bottle, and of course David was right there tying his shoes.

"Gen" He said, making me cringe. I looked over at him, and I could feel Dana staring over to where I was.

"Look I'm sorry about earlier, you're right I shouldn't have taken Gabe out for drinks. We're underage and on top of that I knew we had an early practice this morning" David apologized.

" Look there's a few things you still gotta learn, especially being in our band. You're still new but don't make that mistake again, Gabe could've really gotten hurt today, especially driving over here. Not to mention if the choreographer found out, and tipped him off to our managers, he could've been kicked out, or had the band break up." I said sternly

"I'm sorry, it wont happen again. I'm also sorry for saying you looked cute while being mad" He said with a slight smirk. My facial expression stiffened

"I wasn't lying when I said that by the way.... You really do look cute when you're pissed" He added. I scoffed

"How inappropriate can you be" I shook my head walking away towards Dana. 

"What did he say to you" Dana said as we walked out of the building. I shook my head

"He apologized for getting Gabe drunk before rehearsals" I sighed. " H-he....he also kept saying how cute I looked when I'm mad" I mumbled. 

Dana immediately dropped his bag and turned around to walk back into the building. I quickly ran and stood in his way

"Dana no!" I pleaded 

"He was flirting with you Genesis!" Dana shouted. 

"I know that Dana, but I didn't flirt back" I began to say

"I know you didn't, but this idiot can't take a hint! " He continued to yell

"Dana he's not worth it, it's no use in getting yourself in trouble over someone who doesn't even matter, or is relevant to me in anyway...aside of being in the same band... baby please just let it go" I pleaded. 

Dana was looking away from me, he was looking intently at the ground with his eyebrows furrowed and his jaw and fists clenching. I placed both hands on his face and made him look at me. 

"Please" I whispered. 

His facially expressions quickly softened, and he let out a big sigh.

"Alright" He said, slowly intertwining his hand with mine as we walked back to our cars.

"I don't know how you can always calm me down when I'm about to explode" Dana said with a slight chuckle.

"Just call me your kryptonite" I giggled, causing him to smile big
