Chapter 16 ~ Like Old Times

Alright so.......

This is kinda....

Well it's kind of a really awkward chapter for me to write....

How I managed to write it will forever be a mystery to me to be honest...

But besides how uncomfortable it was to write this chapter...I hope you guys enjoy this. I know some of you have been waiting for this... (And you know who you are! You guys messaged me tons of times asking me when THIS would happen ... well guess what...the time has come!!! )

Genesis P.O.V

"I'm fine mom..don't worry about me" I sighed into the phone

"Are you sure?...I hate not being there Gen...do you want me to call the boys to keep you company?" My mom replied. I sighed

"Mom, really...I'm fine! Besides, I'm sure the boys have better things to do than take care of me" I giggled slightly

"You're father and I will just have to cancel our business trip...you need someone to take care of you dear!" My mom retorted

"Mom stop! I'm fine on my own! I have a broken wrist...my legs are fine, I can walk around and do things on my own! You and dad need to go cause of your job, I don't want to get in the way of that" I said sincerely. I heard her sigh from the other end of the line

"I just don't want you to struggle with anything hun" I could tell she was frowning. I knew she meant well...I mean yeah I get that I went through a pretty traumatic experience, and broke a couple things here and there...not to mention the slight concussion I had....but I'm better now...Much better. I think I'm able to take care of myself

"Everything will be fine mom...I'll see you in a week okay?" I said smiling, even though she couldn't see. She didn't say anything for a moment, but then she finally spoke

"Alright sweetie...I'll see you soon" She said gently. I smiled

"I love you" I told her 

"I love you too" She said before I hung up the phone. I leaned back on my bed, burying myself in my pillows. Guess I'll have the whole house to myself for the week.

Dana P.O.V

IF YOU ASKED ME, HOW I'M DOING. I WOULD SAY I'M DOING JUST FINE!! I WOULD LIE AND SAY THAT YOU'RE NOT ON MY MIND!!!!!" I yelled at the top of my lungs. I swayed my hips from side to side as I vacuumed the floor of my room. 

Yes...I do indeed yell at the top of my lungs song lyrics every time I vacuum... my mother thinks it's cute...

"BUT I GO OUT, AND I SIT DOWN...AT A TABLE SET FOR TWO!! AND FINALLY I'M FORCED TO FACE THE TRUTH!!!! NO MATTER WHAT I SAY I'M, NOT OVER YOU!!!" I continued to yell at the top of my lungs. I was mid way through the bridge of the song when I heard my phone ringing. How I managed to hear it over my yelling is a mystery to me.

I walked over and grabbed my phone off of my dresser. I swiped the screen without checking the caller ID...stupid habit of mine really. 

"Talk to me" I said leaning against my wall and running my hands through my messy curls. 

"Dana" the voice said. I'd know that voice anywhere. It was Genesis' mom

"Mrs Perez! How are you?" I asked "Is everything okay with Gen?" I added. I heard her laugh on the other line
