I've always had a really high pain tolerance....For as long as I could remember I was always good at dealing with pain. This pain I'm feeling right now is truly unbearable. Not only is my head pounding like crazy but the pain in my wrist is only getting worse. I mean yeah I get that I practically crushed my wrist and all but I really can't stand the pain too well.

I stirred a bit trying to get comfortable in the uncomfortable hospital bed I'd be living on for god knows how long. Unfortunately as much as I tried to get comfortable I just couldn't get back to sleeping. I opened my eyes slowly feeling blinded by the light streaming through the window.

It was a really nice view. Since the hospital was fairly close to the beach I was able to see the ocean from my room. Even with all the buildings in the way I could still see the bright blue waves in the distance.

I went to go stretch when my hand was weighed down. I glanced towards the left of me to find Dana sleeping. He was sitting on the recliner by the bed and was leaning forward so that his arms were on the bed supporting his head. His hand laid gently over mine which caused me to smile.

His eyebrows were furrowed and he would snore every now and then. I giggled slightly leaning my head back on my pillow not taking my eyes off of him. He looked adorable sitting there. I felt lucky to have someone like Dana in my life.

The fact that he stayed the whole night without leaving my side when I needed him the most is one of the reasons why I love him so much. He's always there for me and I'm beyond grateful for that. I sighed closing my eyes slowly.

I tried to make my mind think about something other than the accident but no matter how hard I tried I just couldn't forget about it. The feeling of the truck hitting our car, the imense amount of pain I went through, how hard I was trying to stay awake until someone came to help us...It's just all too much right now.

I groaned opening my eyes slowly. Looks like I'm gonna be having nightmares for a long time...Damn!!

I glanced over at the clock that hung by the wall near the window. It was 9:23 A.M. I'd usually be sleeping at this time. I sighed turning back toward Dana. I wanted so hard to reach over and run my hands through his curls but my hands are pretty much useless.

One of them is under Dana's grip, and the other one can't even be moved without me feeling lightheaded with pain. Looks like I'd have to find a different way to wake him up

"Dana" I choked out. Surprised at how weak my voice sounded. I am a complete mess!

"D-ana" I tried to speak out, but it came out more like a whisper. I moved the hand under his grip a little hoping that would wake him. He stirred a bit gripping onto my hand tight before his eyes fluttered open. He glanced around the room probably confused as to why he was in a hospital room. His eyes finally landed on me and he jumped up.

"Gen! Are you okay!" Concern clear in his voice. I giggled slightly. Although it came out more like if I was wheezing for air.

"I'm o-okay" I tried to speak but I couldn't make my voice go louder than a whisper.

"How are you feeling" He asked leaning over and running his hand through my hair soothingly. He was careful not to get near the white bandage that was wrapped all around my head.

"Truthfully" I sighed "In al-l-ot of pain" I choked out. He frowned leaning up and placing his lips softly to my head

"I'll go call the nurse, maybe she can give you something for the pain" He smiled weakly. I nodded and he stood up walking out of the room.
