Having an ideal man seems very overrated to most people, but for me its a dream. I'm a typical hopeless romantic and I always wanted to meet someone that
would make my heart flutter and my mind muddled everytime I'm with him. Pero so far, sa 20 years kong nabubuhay, NO LUCK.
"Michi!" Nagising ako sa pag dadaydream dahil sa sigaw galing sa baba ng treehouse where I was busy reading and daydreaming. Pagtingin ko, it was none other that My best friend Shin.
"Why?" I screamed down at him. He was already climbing the ladder and he seems very excited about something. So naghintay na lang ako na makaakyat siya before I ask questions.
"She said YES!" he screamed excitedly pag dating niya sa treehouse and I can't help but smile dahil na rin sa lapad ng ngiti ng bestfriend ko. After months ng panliligaw he finally got the YES that he was waiting for. Sobrang saya ko para sa bestfriend ko. It's not the first time that he would be in a relationship, somehow this time felt different than the others because I actually like the girl na nililigawan niya.
"Talaga? Finally nageeffect din ang gayuma mo!" I teased him. Pero mukhang walang makakabago ng mood niya for today.
"Alam mo, maghanap ka na nga ng boyfriend mo."
"Hindi hinahanap yun. Kusa yun na dadating. Don't pressure me."
Tinawanan niya lang ako because he knows me too well. I get so into this hopeless romantic stuff kada napupunta dun ang subject.
"So bakit di mo siya kasama? You're suppose to be on a date right now. And spending time with her."
"Pinuntahan lang kita to tell you. Alam ko namang maghihysterical ka if you're not the first person to know." I just can't help but smile at him. Hindi man ako nakakaramdaman ng romantic love towards him. Everybody who knows us, would know na sobrang importante namin sa isa't isa. And yun din ang reason why his relationships before ended. His previous girlfriends didn't like me from when he was courting them but I just brushed it away but they would always make him choose and in the end, He would choose our more than a decade long friendship. At yun din ang pagkakaiba ng naging girlfriend niya ngayon, she actually is one of my close and trusted friends even before siyang ligawan ni Shin.
"Okay okay! Now GO! Alam ko namang kating kati ka na na puntahan si Angel." I said, the smile still not leaving my face. His face began to redden at hindi ko mapigilang tumawa, dahil sa naging reaksyon niya.
"Okay fine. Una na ko. Kelangan pang magpagwapo para sa date ko." Sabi niya sakin, and he started going down the ladder.
"BYE!" I called out to him while still laughing and shaking my head. Mukhang in love na in love ang bestfriend ko.
Speaking of in love, ako kaya kelan? I've been waiting all my life, ngayon I'm thinking na baka tama si Shin, I should maybe put an effort to look for love hindi yung naghihintay lang ako. Pano kung naghihintay lang din siya? Edi hintayan kami forever. I laughed at the thought of me and my Mr. Right getting old while waiting for each other.
As cliche as it sounds, I actually have a wish list para sa Mr. Right ko. Its a list for gestures and scenarios na magiging sign para sakin to know if he is the Right One. A bit childish, but what can I say, I'm a hopeless romantic remember?

3. Tucking my hair in my ears.
4. Slow dance with me.
5. Experience Cherry bloosom viewing with him.
