Chapter 18: Dropping the bomb

Vin began to walk closer to the message, but I grabbed his arm with my free hand kaya napalingon siya sakin.

"Titingnan ko lang love, don't worry." Sabi niya sakin kaya napabitaw ako sa braso niya. He got closer to the glass wall and looked closely at the written message.

"Red paint." Sabi niya bigla. I felt Denise's grip loosen, at mukhang pareho kaming nabunutan nang tinik. I honestly thought that it was blood, in the most Chamber of Secret-esque kind of way. Naghiwahiwalay kami at tiningnan kung may nawawala ba sa mga gamit ni Denise. I know, its obvious na si Miggy ang dahilan nang pag-atake sa unit ni Denise pero we still decided to check. Everything was still there, her jewelries and even money na nakalagay lang sa bedside table niya na nakita din naming nakabukas.

"Dun ka na muna sa condo ni Mitch matulog. Tsaka na natin ayusin tong condo mo gabi na rin naman." Vin suggested to us.

"Okay lang ba Mitch?" tanong sakin ni Denise with a puppy look on her face.

"Ano ka ba Den? Of course." Sagot ko naman sa kanya. Nagsimula kaming mag-empake nang mga gamit na kailangan niya while staying with me. Binuksan ko din ang cabinet niya at kinuha ang mga damit na kaya ko pang isalba. Paglabas namin ay naabutan namin si Vin na sinasarado ang kurtina para takpan ang nakasulat dito.

Nagkanya kanya na kaming buhat nang mga gamit na dadalhin atsaka lumabas na sa unit. Denise locked her unit and we left that building as fast as we could.

Hindi na masyadong binilisan ni Vin ang pagdadrive and we were all just quiet the whole ride. Umakyat agad kami sa unit ko tsaka ko lang naalala na hindi pa pala kami tapos kumain at saktong pagkulo naman nag tiyan ko.

"Init ko lang yung pagkain. Sabay ka na samin Den." Sabi ko sa kanya. Binaba ko na ang mga dala ko na gamit ni Denise sa salas at pumunta sa kitchen para iinit yung pagkain na naiwan namin.

The three of us sat down the table and ate our dinner quietly and cleaned up everything after then umupo na sa sofa.

"We have to tell Miggy." Vin stated and looked at the both of us, ready to rebut anything we say to convince him not to tell Miggy but we both just nodded at him.

"Its going to happen someday." I replied to him.

"And maybe he knows something or may idea siya kung sino to." Vin explained to us. Pareho kaming napatingin kay Denise and she just gave us an approving smile.

"Okay." She just said sounding so drained.

"Pahinga ka na Den. Just use my room." I said to her. I didn't even have to tell her twicw, she just stood up at dumeretso na sa kwarto ko.

Vin and I were left in the sofa worry reflecting in both our eyes. Hindi namin alam kung anong sasabihin sa isa't isa. So, I decided to break out silence.

"Help." I said to him na may lambing sa boses ko habang sinusubukang buhatin ang lalagyan na may laman ang mga damaged clothes ni Denise and put on my best puppy dog eyes. He rolled his eyes on me as he suppresses his smile. He stood up at binuhat yung tinutukoy ko na bag. I gave him a sweetest smile and climbed up the stairs. Sinundan naman niya ko pa akyat and placed the bag beside the bag containing my project.

"Thank you." I said to him with a grateful smile.

"May extra blanket at pillow dun sa cabinet na katabi nang tv." I told him and sat down on may chair in front of the desk and took out my sketchbook and placed it on the desk then placed the dress that I'm working on in one of the mannequins that I have. I looked at the sketch and the dress and started making adjustments in the sketch of the dress according to what I think is a better fit ngayon na may actual na basehan na ko sa itsura nang sketch ko physically.
