You found yourself in a pickle. In the past few months since you joined the Straw Hat Pirates you had found yourself falling for the childish straw hat wearing captain. You consulted with Nami, asking the orange haired girl to give you advice (which she made you pay her for the advice).

"Simple, you just have to get his attention and tell him how you feel. It shouldn't be that hard."

You repeated her words in your mind over and over as you bit your lip and stared at the head of the table where your captain was stuffing his face. He grabbed at every plate he could get his rubbery hands on. When he got to yours, you didn't react; too space out to really think. Every attempt you had made in the past month to gain your captain's attention was destroyed. You would get his attention and just when you were about to tell him your feelings something always popped up.

Whether it would be Marines or enemy ships, or Usopp and Chopper begging the rubbery boy to join in on their games or even Sanji just simply calling for dinner. The rubbery boy was usually gone before you can even get a word out. Today was another failed attempt as he had ran away from you the minute he heard Sanji call you all for dinner. "Luffy, don't touch [Your Name]-chan's food!" Sanji snapped as the rubbery captain picked up your plate and started to pull the uneaten food towards him. The blond lifted his foot and smashed it onto the captain's head.

Luffy let go of your plate and let it clattered back onto the table. Everyone looked towards you as they awaited your response. Like the captain you usually had a thing for food sometimes going as far as to bite someone that would dare think about touching your food. "[Your Name]" Nami said as she placed a hand on your shoulder. You didn't respond as you were too deep in thought.

Chopper stood up in his seat and pushed himself up with his the tip of his hoofs as he rested a hoof on your forehead. He stared at you worriedly as you flinched and snapped out of your thoughts. "What?" You questioned as you furrowed your brows in confusion at everyone's worried stares.

"You spaced out on us, are you alright?" Franky asked as he pulled his sunglasses up so he could stare at you with a raised eyebrow. You felt your cheeks flush with embarrassment as you coughed.

"Yes I just had something on my mind" you mumbled as you looked down in embarrassment.

"Are you sure you're alright?" Chopper asked as he stared at you with worried filled oxen colored eyes. You smiled a little and nodded your head as you pushed your chair back and stood.

"I think I'm going to go get some fresh air" you mumbled as you walked towards the kitchen door and walked out onto the deck. Once the door was closed behind you, you walked down the stairs and made your way towards the front of the ship where the steering wheel was located. You walked over to the railing and leaned against it as you stared out into the vast open sea. The moon shined high in the sky as its light reflected off the dark water and made the scene more beautiful to the human eye. Your ears twitched to the sound of soft footsteps walking up behind you before out of the corner of your eye you see movement of someone leaning against the railing next to you.

You turned your head to the side and stared at your new company, only to blush once you saw it was Luffy. You looked away from him and down at the waves that gently splashed against the bottom of the ship. Neither of you spoke, which surprised you as the boy was known to be very loud and hyperactive, but this time he seemed calm and quiet. You cast a side glance towards him as you saw him staring out into the sea as well. "Are you alright, [Your Name]? You usually love Sanji's cooking?" He asked in a low voice.

One a child would use when afraid that they had done something wrong and was about to be punished. "I told you, I'm alright. Besides, shouldn't you still be eating, the others might finish off the rest of the meat without you" you said, before looking down as you felt guilt at the slight bitterness in your tone. You blinked your eyes when you felt a soft hand grab hold of yours as Luffy intertwined both of your fingers together. You looked at your connected hands before you looked up into his brown eyes as he smiled down at you.

You tilted your head in confusion as you turned to face him, while making sure your hands were still connected with one another. "Well I don't want to be in there if you're out here" he said.

"Huh?" You questioned as you furrowed your brows, not understanding what he meant. Soon your faced flushed as he leaned down and pressed his lips tightly against yours. It was sloppy and a little messy, as if he didn't know what he was doing and just trying to wing it. You shrugged your shoulders and pulled your hand away from Luffy's as you threw your arms around his neck and pulled him closer while kissing back. As you both pulled away he gave you a bright smile as he wrapped his arms around your waist and rested his forehead against yours.

"You're far more important than meat" he said, laughing as you chuckled a little.

"Thank you, I guess" you said, not really knowing if you should take what he said as a compliment, even though it did sound like one. Luffy once against pressed his lips against yours in a short sweet kiss that was a little neater before he pulled away.

"I love you, [Your Name]" he said as he started to sway the both of you back and forth while wearing a bright smile that was contagious enough to make you start smiling as well.

"I love you as well, Luffy."
