Not All Humans are Worthless - Injured!Arlong x Doctor!Reader

You sucked in a deep breath as you tightly held the box full of medical supplies in your hand. Taking slow and steady steps towards the Fishman. His name was Arlong, captain of the Arlong Pirates. He was dangerous and you knew that, but at the moment he was seriously hurt and your instincts were telling you to help him. Didn't matter if he was a pirate or not, didn't even matter if he was human or a Fishman at the moment he was someone who needed to be treated.

He had a nasty wound on his stomach. One that looked like it had been caused my a harpoon. As you took another step closer, you stopped and held your breath when he suddenly looked towards you with a glare. His webbed hand was pressing itself against the wound to try and stop the bleeding. "What, come to laugh at the wounded Fishman?" He snapped as he glared at you.

You flinched, but shook your head as you held out the box of medical supplies to show him that you only had good intentions. He stared at the box before huffing as he turned his head the other way. "I don't need some worthless human's help" he scoffed. It grew silent after that as you continued to stand there debating whether you should just leave. You shook your head and put on a look of determination as you tightly held the box close and stepped forward.

"Please, your injured and need medical help. As a doctor it's my job to help those hurt, whether they want me to or not" you sternly said as you took another step forward. You heard him give a slight growl, but he made no movement to stop you. As you drew closer, you could hear your heart beating faster then it normal should be. Taking in a deep breath you kneel down beside him and moved his bloody and torn shirt to the side to get a better look at the wound.

You winced at how bad it looked. It didn't go all the way through, but it was still deep. You wondered how he was able to survive with such a wound. Pulling out a rag and a bottle of water you set to work of cleaning off all the blood around the wound so you could have a better look at it.

-Time Skip-

It was  night time by the time you had finished patching up the Fishman. You wiped the sweat off your forehead and smiled as you looked down at your handy work. "You should be completely healed in a couple of days" you whispered as you gave a small smile to the Fishman. He stared at you with an amused and curious look in his eyes.

"Tell me human, where did you learn to treat such wounds? You look to young to be an experience doctor" Arlong said as he stared at you. You felt your face heat up for a moment before laughing a little.

"The name's [Your Name] and I learned from my father. He was the villages doctor before..." you started to say before trailing off as your smile faltered. You shook your head and forced the smile to come back. "This village is filled with a lot of people who get into a lot of fights, so wounds like this aren't uncommon to come across" you whispered before yawning. "It's getting late, I should head back. I'll be sure to come by tomorrow to check on you."

As you stood up, you yelped a little as you stumbled and fell forward on top of the Fishman. Your legs felt like lead from how you had been siting on them all day. You heard Arlong grumbled as he grabbed a hold of your upper arm and lifted you up. He sat you down beside him so that you were leaning against the tree he was leaned up against as well. "Just sleep here before you hurt yourself, worthless human" he grumbled with a light blush on his cheeks.

You stared up at him before smiling a little as you nodded your head. "Thank you" you whispered as you leaned back while closing your eyes. After a while you ended up falling asleep, Arlong stared forward before he felt your sleeping body lean against him. With a small huff and a blush on his face he grumbled lowly to himself before wrapping an arm around you.

"It seems that not all humans are worthless."
