Cute - Xigbar x Reader

You and Xigbar were never on the best of terms, him being a perverted and lazy old man (he was only in his early thirties) believing he was still a young teen by the way he spoke and you a quiet, hard working woman in your late twenties. You weren't really a member of the Organization, more of an assistance of Vexen in helping him with his research. You knew how to fight of course, but rarely went on missions, the only times you were forced to go on missions with another member was to do some recon on the world. Your first experience with Number Two was something to behold as you had ended up leaving him on the floor whimpering while clutching his manhood. As you could tell the relationship between the two wasn't a very easy going one.

He called you a stick in the mud and even went as far as throwing a few insults your way. Didn't matter, you always returned the favored. But somewhere along the way between your fights and venomous words, you grew to enjoy his company. You grew to like when he was around the lab, though being the stubborn woman you were, you'd never admit it to him or anyone else for that matter. It was any other day, except this time you were left alone in the lab seeing how Vexen was sent off with a few others to Castle Oblivion.

What was the mission there? You had no idea, you just know that a few lucky members were chosen to go there. "Hey, [Your Name]!" you jumped, almost dropping the flask in your hand. Sitting it down you grabbed your chest as if your non-existing heart was about ready to pound out of it. Following the shout that came from the top of the basement stairs, Xigbar came stomping down them. Causing a ruckus that drove the captive Heartless that Vexen was studying to go wild in their cages.

"What?" you snapped, turning around to glare at the male. "And keep quiet, once these things get riled up it takes forever to calm them down" you hissed as the creatures born from darkness shook in their cages. The older male dismissively waved his hand as he rolled his one visible golden eye.

"Whatever, I came to tell you we've got a mission" Xigbar said, as he pushed past you and sat himself up on the metal table, knocking over empty test tubes and crinkling up a few research papers. You glared at him before crossing your arms over your lab coat. Instead of wearing the black cloaks that the members of the Organization were known for, you were dressed up in a white lab coat. Underneath that coat was a plain tank top and black jeans as well as black boots. You sighed and ran your fingers through your [Hair Length] [Hair Color] hair.

"And by "we" you mean..."

"That's right, you and I" Xigbar said, a smirk on his facial features as he stood up and walked over to you while throwing an arm around your shoulders. Your face heated up a bit before you scowl the older male while removing his arm from your person. "A new world has opened up and the Superior said that you and I need to scout it out and see if there's anything of use there for us" he explained as he walked a few feet ahead. Indeed not all worlds out there are important to the Organization, usually they were just used in collecting hearts with the two Keyblade users. You nodded your head.

"When are we leaving?" you questioned.

"Right now" Xigbar said, quickly turning on his heel as he grabbed your wrist while summoning a vortex. Before you could protest, he was already pulling you through.

-Time Skip-

You groaned, always disliking the feeling of traveling through the vortexes that the others could summon. As you went to stand you found it to be slightly difficult. "What?" you questioned as you looked down to find paws, you blinked your [Eye Color] eyes as you sat on your butt and moved your head to get a good look at yourself. Normally one would be concerned with the sudden fact that they've been turned into a lioness. But, you were well aware of what was going on.

Zexion had explained it to you once when you and him had went on a mission in Halloween Town. Some worlds held a type of magic that allowed them to change the appearance of outside visitors. Though since you were beings that weren't meant to exist that magic wouldn't work sometimes. This was proven when Demyx had immediately return from his mission to Atlantica soaking wet. He was chewed out for leaving a mission early, but he explained that he would have drowned due to not being turned into a mermaid when he had arrived.

You looked around for your partner, laughing when you caught sight of the male lion having trouble in walking. Xigbar growled as he fell back to the ground after attempting to walk on four legs. His fur was a deep gray while his mane was pure black with a white streak. Scars littered his body as he still seemed to have his eye patch. "What's so funny?" he snapped as he saw your giggling form.

You shook your head, trying to stand up once again. You were successful in doing that, but the minute you took a step forward with your front part. Your body begin to shake, not use to moving on all fours. You balanced yourself and took another step. 'So far so good' you thought, as soon as you thought that, you lost your footing.

You crashed onto the ground, causing the male lion to roar with laughter. Xigbar threw his head back in laughter at your failed attempt at walking on all fours. That would surely stop you from laughing at him. Looking back a you, his laughter slowly died out as a pink hue dusted over his muzzle at the adorable pout on your lean face. In fact, he'd be lying if he said that you didn't look cute as a lioness. Coughing he walked over to you, getting the slight hang of what to do while walking.

"Here" he said once he reached you as he bent down and lightly bit the back of your neck to help pull you up. You blushed in embarrassment at the help before huffing as you gave a silent thank you. Xigbar snickered at how adorable you were with all your pouting. "Shall we continue on with the mission?" he asked, smirking as you grumbled and walked ahead. Stumbling every now and then causing the male lion to snicker.

-Time Skip-

You wandered around the world most of it looking barren and empty. It wasn't until you reached a type of jungle did color start to form. There were of course some Heartless, but nothing of great importance in the world as you could tell. Though looking at some of the plant life, you did determine that some of the plants would make good ingredients for potions and such. You made a note to tell Vexen of this once he returned from Castle Oblivion.

Xigbar was oddly quiet through the mission, surprising you as you would occasionally have to look back at the older male who seemed to keep falling behind. The more the two of you walked through the jungle, you took notice how the place was interesting but honestly looked like it would hold no value for the Organization. "I think we're done for today" you said, looking back to find that your partner was missing. "Xigbar?" you questioned as you looked around, the ears on top of your head flattening against your skull as you narrowed your eyes. "Patchy?" you asked, using the nickname that you knew he hated while lowering yourself to the ground and looked around in caution.

You yelped as the older lion pounced out of some nearby bushes towards you, jumping backwards you growled at his laughing figure. Lowering yourself to the ground once again, you pounced forward and knocked the male onto his back. Xigbar was taken aback at first as he stared up at your growling face before bursting out laughing. "What's so funny?" you asked, your muzzle turning a light pink color as you blushed.

"Even when you're mad you look cute, I can't take your anger seriously!" the male roared with laughter before suddenly turning you two around so that his paws held you down by your chest. He narrowed his eyes while smirking at your shocked and fluster state. Before you could snap at you he licked your lips and removed himself to summon a vortex. "Well, let's head on back and report" he said as if nothing had happened. You sputtered out nonsense before growling as you rolled on your stomach and stood.

Grumbling you walked past him and into the vortex as he followed after you, snickering a little.

-Time Skip-

"Well that was an interesting world, but nothing a value seemed to be in it" Xigbar said as you both came back into the lab. Your cheeks were flushed as your eyes were narrowed, responding only with a grumble. Xigbar chuckled as he grabbed your wrist and twirled you back around to face him. "I already told you, you're too cute when you're mad. I can't take you seriously" he said, holding your chin up before capturing your lips in his own.

You blushed as your eyes widened in surprised before sighing through your nose as you gave in and wrapped your arms around and kissed him back. 'Yeah, well you make a pretty adorable lion' you thought, smiling into the kiss.
