You huffed as you stared down at your metallic left arm. You hated it. You hated the stares and looks of sympathy and pity everyone gave you whenever they saw your arm. You've had this replica arm for a couple of months and you already started to hate it like how you hated the first one that was made for you when you were young. When you were younger you had ended up in a horrible situation that had mangled your left arm and rendering it useless.

Your family had asked the blacksmith of your village to make you an arm. He did, but it was worthless. Your family wasn't rich and didn't have enough money so the man only did a half ass job. The joints in the metal would lock up or break down. You dealt with it for years, you dealt with everything. At one point you threw the worthless hunk of junk away and chose to deal with the difficulties one would have to face when only having one arm.

When the Straw Hat's came to your island you had the leisurely pleasure of attracting the captain's attention. He didn't look at you with sympathy or pity when he saw you only had one arm. Instead his eyes shined with sadness as they fogged over as if he was remembering something. He pestered you with questions as he followed you around and helped occasionally, though you only wished for him to leave you alone.  It wasn't until he asked you what you really wanted did you finally answer him.

"I wanted to be a pirate since I was a little girl and travel the wide vast sea. But after the incident that dream died away."

That was your response to his question. He didn't answer you right away. Instead just grabbed your wrist and started to run. You snapped and screamed at him as he dragged you through the village before he came to a stop in front of a ship. "I'm going to help you, but you have to join my crew after I help, okay?" He questioned with a wide smile on his face.

You didn't know what it was about that smile but it made your anger melt away and be replace with calmness as you nodded your head. He dragged you onto the ship before taking you down below. You had a sense of dread as you went down the stairs, now wondering if you had made the right choice. You sucked it up, knowing it was too late to back out now and the raven haired captain seemed like he wasn't one to give second chances after a final choice he liked was made. When he came to a stop he presented you to a messy room cluttered the metal and tools.

The smell of oil and cola was all around the room as a tall male was seated at a work bench, working on something. At first it seemed like he didn't notice you two. But soon he stopped what he was doing and turned his attention to the both of you. To say his wardrobe style was interesting was an understatement in your case as you raised an eyebrow at the speedo he wore. "Franky, this is...what's your name?" The raven haired male asked with a blank stare as you sweat drop.

"[Your Name]" you responded back.

"Oh, alright. Anyway's she's going to join our crew, but first I need you to do something" the captain said. Franky raised an eyebrow as he raised his sunglasses from his eyes and scanned you up and down with his light blue orbs before they landed on the empty space that once held your left arm. He looked to his straw hat wearing captain and then back at your missing arm as if asking a silent question. "Uh-huh" the boy said as he nodded his head up and down. "So, can you do it?" He asked.

"Yeah, probably take a while so she'll need to stay here for now" Franky said.

"Alright, [Your Name]. Stay here with Franky and I'll come back later to introduce you to the rest of the crew" the captain said. Before you could protest and finally get his name he had already raced up the stairs and left you alone with the strange blue haired male. You looked at him and watched as he scooted over on his work bench and patted the empty spot next to him. You didn't move, instead opted to just stand and stare which caused him to raise an eyebrow and chuckle.
