I walked behind him, searching for either of the siblings. I got a nauseous feeling from over thinking what exactly was going to happen when Avi finds out.

I hold my purse close to me, as we both took a seat at the black bench. I hated how it would always have a strong smell of cigarettes. I huffed loudly as I stupidly try to get rid if the sent from my nose the fourth time.

Kevin looked bothered by the smell too, just by his slightly annoyed expression.

The sun was shining yet I was still zipped up in my favorite coat that whosnamewedonotspeakof gave me. If it's a gift, meaning it's mine, I'm not going to give it back.

That isn't how the world works.

I saw a car pull closer to where we were seated, which caused my heart to drop. Kevin looked at me, motioning his head towards the vehicle.

"I'm going to get attacked," I groaned, as I got up, comfortably grabbing my carry on with me without his permission.

Esther got out of the driver's seat, walking around to the automatically opened trunk. Kevin was half way over there as I dragged my weight over there.

As soon as was close enough, Esther stared at me. Looked at Kevin then back at me.

"What is she doing." Esther said, turning her body towards Kevin. He looked at her as he was placing his large suitcase in the car.

"What do you mean?" You looked at her with his eyebrows raised. She glared at him.

"You know exactly what I mean why is Kirstie here? Is that her stuff, too?" She seemed fustrated, as on the other hand Kevin kept his calm.

"Yea." He said, closing the trunk. Esther eyes widen as he began to walk around the truck.

She stopped him, though. "Avi is not going to like this. She can't come with us." She says looking at me. I walked futher away from the situation without Kevin's acknowledgement.

I looked around, look for a bench to sit on. Then I notice Mitch, still here. I walked over hesitantly.

"I thought you left," I say calmly, which caught his attention. He looked a bit shakened up but I'd rather not question it.

"I knew you were still here. How you gonna leave?" He said in concern, slightly look down at me.

"I'm with Kevin, I'm fine." I answered. "Where's Scott, why are you still here?" He looked passed me, then back at me.

"Getting the car." He implies quickly. He's standing, empty handed. I really don't want to be up in anyone's business but this is just getting ridiculous.

"And your stu-"

"Took it with him. Please go, Kirstin." He said demandly, which caught me buy suprise. I nodded and walked off immediately.

"End of discussion." Kevin said, his volume a little above regular talking volume.

Esther seemed pissed as she walked back around to the driver's seat. Kevin made is way over to me smiling.

"Her argument was invalid." He said simply, gesturing for me to get in the back seat with him.

As soon as we get seated and situated, Avi jumps in the car. I literally held my breath as he started to look around. And then into the back mirror.

"Hey Kevin," was all he said, then turning my way and glaring, his eyes filled with anger.. and fear?

We rode in a comfortable silence back to their house.
