Me and Esther stood by each other in silence until the lights would turned back on. In all that time, she also asking me what exactly happened. Honestly, I couldn't really tell her because it would sound so fictional. Brother over friend. Always.
As the lights flickered on, we both looked at each other, stepping away. In the moment, thinking about it was very awkward.
We were just hugging each other in the dark...
Okay then.
I looked over at her, as she looks down at her feet, shifting a bit. Esther smiles lightly, then looking up at me as soon as the elevator starts to move down. I jump a bit at the sudden movement.
"Am I going to the right floor?" She asked me, it sounded faint for some reason.
"Huh?" I asked.
"Is this the right floor?" She said, pointing to the highlighted button. I nodded smiling the slightest bit.
The elevator stops, as the door slowly slides open. She looks over at me, walking over giving me a friendly small peck on my cheek. Wrapping my arm around her, I pull my mouth towards her ear.
"I love your brother. I-I always will. Keep that in mind." I say, and with that lightly shoving her out of the elevator. The doors slowly closes and she turns around.
Her face shows pure shock, as she stood there looking at me with her hand covering her mouth. Long enough to where the elevator finally closed.
Taking a deep breath, I slid down the wall to sit on the ice cold floor. I was finally alone.
Even though this probably wasn't the best time to be. I'd probably think, or dwell too hard on this silly little thing. I know what I know and I would never drug him. Avi was not Avi. He must of had a memory mix up, or possibly lost.
Mitch, I'll just leave him. I can see him some other time. I rise from the flor making sure to mash the 1 button repeatedly.
Mitch extremely ignorant for doing that. I'm sure he knew the consequences but he went along with it. Scott with his stereotypical blonde-blue eyes combo has gotten Mitch all fucked up- literally.
The moment the elevator door opens, I fast walk in between to the two metal doors.
Accidentally bumping shoulders with almost every person I pass, I walk out the building heading straight for my rentie. Swiftly pulling out my keys as I walk towards it.
I'm a bit off- as in balance. I jump I'm the car quickly starting the engine. Take me back to America.
~*~*~
Finally arriving at the tour bus to pack my things and leave, I knock on the tour bus, as I discovered Scott had locked the door.
"Ugh," I grunt to myself. I stood there for a good 2 minutes, patient as I could possibly be. Still no answer.
"Scott?!?! Open the door!!!!" I shout loudly. I pull on the tour bus handle once, more, it now being open. I didn't even hear him walk up to the door.
I stepped up into the bus, looking around to see that the pills that were once scattered around, gone. But the prescription bottles were still there. I hadn't even bothered to look who they were for. Walking over to the area, I picked up one of them trying to examine who they were prescribed to.
"Ben?" I whispered, curious to why he has medication all of a sudden?
Shrugging it off, I head to the back of the bus to slip off my shoes.
Before doing that, I went to go check in Scott's bunk to see if he was sleeping.
"Ugh," I said as I walked over clothing which was scattered in between the bunks. "Scott?" I called picking up his clothes, realizing that those were his, too.
