What Really Happened

Hanji's POV:

I couldn't go to sleep last night. I was watching over [Y/n]. This must be really hard for her. But I can't do anything about it. Believe me. I want to but for their sake. I want them to figure things out together.

So Levi could show [Y/n] how much he loves her. At the same time, I know [Y/n] is a smart girl. Its going to be a challenge for Levi. She isn't going to give in easily, but it's worth it.

^~^ Flash Back to Last Night ^~^

-Hello? Levi?-

-Hanji! I fucked up! I fucked up I fucked up I fucked up-

Levi yells through the phone. I wince at his loud volume. He's freaking out.
In the corner of my eye I see [Y/n] run all the way upstairs once she heard Levi's voice. Damn... Levi..what did you do?...I am so lost, what exactly did she see? Why am I the calm one in this now?

-Levi take a deep breath and please explain what exactly happened, I'm really confused-

-H-hanji.. Fuck I'm a fag. Shit why did this have to happen-

He stutters nervously. He sounds like he is really trying to control his breathing. He isn't good at that.

-Okay. Let me say it again. What happened?. Because I cannot tell you anything before I know what the situation was fucking about.-

I say slightly irritated. My best friend just came into my house crying her heart out. Then my other best friend is panicing. And I have no clue what the hell is going on.

-I... I was on the beach with Petra and-... No okay I mean... I left this morning because Petra texted me that... W-wait, no let me start from the be-

-Look Levi I don't mean to worry you but [Y/n] is crying and yelling upstairs so loud I can hear her. I don't know what you did but hurry up Damn-

-Sh-she is?! Oh my fucking God, please give me the phone to her o-or let me go to your house-

I don't know how, I don't know what... But for the first time ever Levi is getting me annoyed. Boys do not get it don't they.

-Yeah, No I don't think she needs that right now. Trust me, she needs to be alone right now. But answer my question-

He takes in a shaky breathe and continues on.

-..... So it first started because I wanted to get this special gift to [Y/n]. I don't know how the fuck Petra found out but she did. We were originally planning to go out of town this Friday so we can get it. She offered me to go there with her cause she was also visiting her uncle that lived where the shop was. But something came up so Petra texted me this morning saying she can only take me today. I know.... I kind of lied to [Y/n] saying I'll be back in three hours and I kind of told her I was just going to hang out with you and eyebrows. Which wasn't true but it was last minute.....-

I cross my arm while holding my phone up to my ear. I mentally nod my head, imagining Levi in front of me.

-Shame Levi. Using your friends as lies. Not to mention, you knew for sure that you weren't coming back in exactly three hours-

-Actually, I knew I was coming back in three hours, but traffic from the carnival. Then about the beach and Petra thing..-

He sighs.

-Petra wanted to collect sea shells for [Y/n] to make her some kind of stupid crown to show a sign of forgiveness. I guess. Of coarse I didn't want to fucking come with her cause she can do it her Damn self but she forced me to. Then she found this "heart" shaped shell. I took her hands to look at it closer. Piece of shit didn't look close to a heart. Then there was [Y/n]. I didn't know what to say or do. Once I saw her hurt face.... I just... It felt like my hear dropped..-

Somehow I knew that Levi didn't do anything wrong. This was, after all a huge misunderstanding. But still Levi shouldn't have chosen to have done that. It really broke [Y/n]'s heart. But still something is suspicious.

-Levi cry if you want to. You can stop with that cold act of having to be all tough. Just let it out. It's okay to cry once in a while you know?-

I sigh once I hear no response from him. I finally got that out. It really isn't healthy keeping it all in. Well that's what I've heard.

A small smile appears on my face when I hear stifled noises. And short sniffs.

-H-hanji.... I f-feel sick.... My heart is beating out of control at the same time it feels heavy.... I really don't know... What to do... She probably h-hates me now..-

His voice was shaky but he managed to keep it balanced. I'm proud of him. So idiotic but it feels good to know that he really knows he did wrong and wasn't afraid to admit it.

-I wish I had your answers Levi but I know she doesn't really hate you.. But I have to go now okay?-

I heard a faint okay and ended the call.

I jog up the stairs into my room where [Y/n] was. I quietly and slowly turn the knob. There was [Y/n] lying on the floor life less, staring deep into nothing with her red puffy eyes.

"[Y/n...]"

I try to say as gentle as possible and smile, squatting down to her level.

"You want to know what Levi told me?"

She stays quiet for a while then a chuckle comes out of her lips.

"...No..."

I sigh and grab her arm, forcing her over my back. She needs to rest for now. Good Levi listened to me. If he would've came her, I don't know what [Y/n] would have done.

"I want to help you two but I also want the two of you to work it out yourselves."

She doesn't say anything back as I tuck her in my bed with freshly washed blankets. She then falls asleep into the night.

Now here I was sipping on my tea. Is it really a good thing that I didn't intrude on their relationship when it is a time like this?

I mean maybe I should-

I jump out of my seat when I hear the door bell ring. I run down the stairs having a high possibility it's Levi. I quickly open the door, panting.

"Levi i... Told.. You.. Not to- Petra?"
