Luke's P.O.V.

I was so god damn bored. I tapped my pencil on the desk to the ticking of the clock on the wall. 'Just five more minutes,' I thought as I looked down at my desk. Everyone talked around me. All the talk I could comprehend was either about partying and doing drugs, or getting laid. Meanwhile, I'm the loser in the back that almost no one talks to. Someone sat on my desk.

"C'mon Luke stop being so moody!" Cassandra said as she punched my arm.

I chuckled, "you're not in this class, what are you doing here?"

"Teacher left and let us go wherever so I thought I'd see you," she responded.

I smirked, "don't you have cool friends to hang out with?"

"Dude who needs those fake bitches when I got you and Naomi?" She asked.

"I'd like a piece of those fake hoes, think you can hook me up?" I asked with a smirk.

She rolled her eyes, "you never change".

"Well what do you expect?" I asked. "Do you really think I'm gonna change for anyone?".

"No, because you're too fucking stubborn," she said. The bell rang. I got up and put on my one strap backpack. I put my headphones around my neck and walked out of class with her.

"So what's your big plan for the summer?" I asked. "You just got your license so you can do a whole load of things".

She shrugged "I dunno, maybe a road trip."

"Who ya takin?" I asked.

"Obviously you and Naomi, dumbass" she said as if it was obvious. We walked out of the front doors and got on the bus. We always sat in the back.

"You think my dad would let Naomi go?" I asked with a chuckle. "He always does his best to keep her away from boys".

"We could talk him into it" She said.

"My dad may be reasonable but once he's got his mind set on something, you can't do a damn thing about it," I said with a sigh. "Unless you're my mom".

"Your mom would let her go, right?" She asked. Kids started getting onto the bus.

"Maybe" I said with a shrug. Naomi got on the bus.

She sat down next to Cassandra, "I fucking hate high school".

I chuckled, "yeah, you get used to it". The bus doors closed as we got driven home.

"How?!" She asked. "I've only been here one year and I want everyone else to die!".

Cassandra laughed, "you get that feeling daily when you're in our grade."

"How the hell do you deal with all these annoying ass people?!" Naomi asked.

I pointed to my headphones, "always bring a set, and your charger".

"And why didn't you tell me this at the beginning of the year?" She asked.

"I thought you knew the routine!" I said, putting my hands up.
