We all went to the feast, everyone all dressed up in their fancy suits and dresses. It was nice to be out of the fight for once and allowed to have a good time. During the feast, we sat at the big table for all the royal family and the special guests. Everyone talked about the battle that just went down, but, I wasn't paying attention. I looked over at Luke and Naomi and decided to continue eating whatever the hell kinda meat they gave me to eat. Normally I don't like meat, but, this was some quality, five-star stuff. I looked at my childhood friends again, seeing how happy they looked. I was glad for them. Luke looked pretty handsome in his tux, and, Naomi looked absolutely gorgeous in her dress as well. I shifted my gaze to Naomi, kinda wishing she would talk to me. Something's been bothering me lately, but, I don't know what it is. Naomi is smart, so, maybe she'd know. I mean I guess I could ask anyone, but, I'm most comfortable talking to my best friend about my problems than anyone else. I would talk to Luke, but, I'd feel too awkward about it, considering what's happened between us. I finished my food and rubbed my now filled stomach, "that hit the spot!". I didn't really want to talk, but, I didn't wanna worry everyone by being so quiet and all that.

Naomi looked at me, "I know!". She smiled, "the food here is great, I hope we never have to leave!".

I nodded with a smile, "yeah, this place is awesome!".

Haru pointed at Luke's almost empty plate and spoke with a mouthful of food, "dude, you gonna eat that?".

Luke laughed and handed him the plate, "eat up, Fido!".

Haru looked at him, "you're not hungry?".

Luke shook his head, "nah, that was my second plate".

Haru grinned with food in his teeth, "this is my fifth!". Akame shook her head with a smile and finished off her plate as well. I noticed Niko wasn't around, and I found that weird. I looked around to notice him in the corner, holding a cup, most likely of coffee.

"Hey, I'll be right back" I said as I got up from the table and walked over to the cannibal.

He looked at me with a raised brow, "can I help you?".

I stood next to him, leaning against the wall, "you looked lonely".

He shrugged, "I chose to be alone".

I looked at his cup of coffee, "why not hang around with us?".

He took a sip and frowned, "don't mean to be so depressing, but, I really don't wanna be around you guys right now".

"Whys that?".

He sighed and rested his coffee on the ground, "because you guys are all gathered around and eating food that I'm sure I'll never get to eat again, and, I just don't really wanna bring anyone down, I mean, you're all having a great time".

I put my hands together, "I see".

He grinned at me, "so, what's it feel like to get replaced by the princess?".

I shrugged, "honestly, I don't know what to feel about it, it's so complicated".

Niko picked up his coffee again and drank the rest of it, "doesn't seem so complicated to me, you two are really close, maybe you do love him, just not the way you think you do".

I shrugged, "maybe, I dunno".

He shook his plastic cup, "I'm gonna go get a refreshment, you want anything?".

I nodded, "just a water, please". He nodded and walked away. I sat down and sighed, "I know I like him, but, I don't know what the problem is...". I began to think for a little bit.
