"Hello?" I look about myself. All I could see was a light blue fog, floating around me, it was all I could see for miles around. There is no smell... Or temperature. I was just sitting... I couldn't feel what I was even sitting on. What was this supposed to be? Am I dead? I could be dead from shock. Is that possible?
Trying to stand up is the hard part, its like I'm floating into a standing position. "Hello?" I try again... No reply.
My eyes scan everywhere. I can't see anything, I enhance my vision, but I still can't see anything... What the hell?
I even try to wake up. That is if I am dreaming. "You're not dreaming, otherwise I'm having the same dream" A voice says behind me, the voice is calm and caring, male and strong, sending my heart into flutters. I spin around quickly. "Who said that?" I question thin air.
A new voice tsks at me. "You should know the voice of your own mate, Alexis" The new voice says. I could recognise it anywhere. "Get out here, Otis!" I shout into the air. "No can do, Hunter. You're in my head," I can practically feel him smirking. "Time to wake up,"
My eyes snap open. My body shooting up to look around me. Half of my group are here. All staring at me with worried eyes.
"What happened, Chief?" Derek asks pushing to the front. I look down at myself, happy I'm wearing a hospital dress again.
I stare at Derek, trying to think of the words. I sit there, gaping like a goldfish. "Please, Ma'am, Flint won't tell us anything," Thank you Flint, I think silently. "You've been out for 3 weeks," Derek continues panicking.
I finally find my voice. "I'm fine. Everyone apart from Derek, Lucy and Mandy. Out!" I shout, making sure they all scatter.
Mandy's my second deputy, working closely with Derek. She's the most caring out of all of us, she helps the younger members, with puberty and growing up. Me and Derek try to avoid them subjects. Lucy, Derek's wife, helps Mandy too. We've all been friends for a very long time. Like the Mutts, we too have mates. Like all supernatural beings, Lucy and Derek were lucky enough to end up together and not worry, if they get a Mutt for a mate.
"What's going on?" Mandy asks softly with kind eyes, her blond hair falling over her blue eyes. They seem glassy, she's worried about me. We're really close, when I was younger she'd help me with my self harm, and get me to start eating, even though I refused. Those were my worst days. Mandy got me out of them.
I told them everything. From Otis to the second time that my chest hurt, to my crazy dream. They all stay silent, processing it all, trying to work it out
Finally, I turn to Derek, "Can you please leave for a sec?" Derek raises an eyebrow.
"Why?" He begins to whine.
"Derek, unless you want to see my bare chest and get smacked by Lucy. Get out," Derek Huff's, before realising what I said and runs out the room. Jeez, I didn't think my body was that bad.
"Why are we seeing your chest?" Lucy questions. "Because I need your help to see this," with that I rip open the dress in a dramatic fashion.
Mandy giggles slightly, and Lucy just looks at me blankly. "There's nothing there," Mandy whispers, while giggling. I roll my eyes. "Some people can't be double D's like you Mandy, but I mean the weird writing,"
Lucy laughs. "She means there's no writing either idiot, you do have nice boobs though, very even," I ignore the rest of Lucy's statement, and look down at my chest. Oh.
I back track... What made it appear earlier?
"Make me worry!" Mandy frowns. "But that's mean!" I roll my eyes again. "No it will work trust me!" Lucy looks at me and she frowns this time. "How? May I ask?" I sigh.
