"Are you sure, you're okay?" Zave asked rubbing my back sympathetically. I shook his hand off.
"I'm fine, okay Zave? I'm getting sick of you asking, I've just got a lot on my mind right now okay?" I answered, my tone being harsher than I intended. Zave held his hands up in mock surrender. "Okay, Jheez I'm sorry, I'm just worried about you," Zave shook his head at me. "Theres no need to, I can handle myself," I shrugged.I stood up off the sofa, after the meeting me and Zave had retreated to the Living room in hopes of having some space to reflect on what was going on. Eleanor's ambiguous words had set into my mind, like a dagger in stone. I needed to know if she had been telling the truth or if she had just been messing with me the whole time. I tapped my foot impatiently before beginning to pace the room. Zave sat on the cream sofa, as his eyes followed me backwards and forwards. He leaned back with a sigh.
"What's on your mind?" He asks with a creased brow.
"You wouldn't understand," I dismiss immediately."I'm your mate, Alexis! Make me understand!" Zave growled, jumping up onto his feet in an attempt at dominance. I hiss back at him baring my razor sharp teeth.
"You just wouldn't get it! You've not got anything to lose here!" I shout back at him. "Don't you get it?! I'm cursed! I'm just trouble for you and your pack! All I'm ever good at is getting people killed! Possibly my own father," My eyes beginning to turn white in anger, my senses heightening as my inner hunter attempted to break free and let our mate feel the wrath.
Zave moved forward with supernatural speed, grabbing my shoulders and shaking me gently. "Calm down Alexis, now is not the time to be losing your temper," Zave spoke softly into my ear. "Now what do you mean by possibly?"
I sigh deeply, attempting to regain my composure. "Eleanor, bloody freaking Eleanor!" I hiss in annoyance. Zave began to rub my shoulders, sensing my anger rising. "She was in my head during the whole meeting," I shake my head, turning in Zaves arms so my back was flush against his chest. "She made it out as if... as if," My hands clench into fists at the thought.
"Shh, shh, calm down, I'm here to help with whatever it is," Zaves assures me.
I shake my head again. "She thinks that.. no she knows he's alive,"
"Who Alexis?" Zave probes gently.
"My dad, my dads alive, Zave, what the fuck am I going to do?"
Zave turns me around, kissing my forehead before resting his chin on top of my head. "Firstly, we need to know if she's telling the truth.
"And if she is?" I ask, unsure of his next answer.
"Then we track him down, and demand answers," Zave leans back and stares into my eyes, hope and love shining brightly in them. I bite my lip, turning away from the intensity of it all. Zave takes a hold of my chin and turns my head to face him again.
He leans in gently, capturing my lips with his, the kiss is sweet and gentle, his emotions being poured into the kiss, telling me its real. My arms snake around his neck as his hands run down my sides to take ahold of my hips. His tongue runs along my bottom lip as I gently pull his hair.
Slowly I part my lips as his tongue scraps across my teeth, slipping in further to explore the rest of my mouth. I moan softly into his mouth, my hands running through his hair as my desires grow for him. We stumble backwards into the couch. He pushes me down, never once parting from my lips. I tug on his hair harder, as I switch our positions so I straddle his thighs, to be inevitably closer to him. I shudder as he moans deeply into my lips, the vibrations from his chest, vibrating my own chest. I groan in response, shifting my body further into his pressing our chests flush against each other. He moans in return as my hips brush against his, our groins brushing against each other sensually.
Zave flips us so his body is on top of mine as I lay on the sofa, his hard body between my thighs. "What the hell are you doing to me, Alexis," Zave mumbles into the kiss. His lips press against mine again the pressure amplified.
"I think I'm in love with you," I break the kiss. Staring back at him due to his shock revelation."What?" I stutter, my voice barely audible.
"I love you, Alexis, I know I do," His eyes bore into my own, his honesty clear and taking me completely by surprise.
"I love you too, Zave, I mean it, you're... you're just out of this world," Zave sighs in relief before attacking my lips again, I tighten my hold on his shoulders, as I deepen the kiss myself this time.
Yet all good things come to an end. An awkward cough interrupts our make out session. We break apart to glare at the culprit.
A smirking Derek stands before us, his arms crossed across his chest. "I do hope I'm not interrupting anything?" Derek smirks widens as my glare hardens.
"What do you want, Derek?" I hiss.
Derek straightens his posture. "We've found some leads on, Otis,"
"How? That's basically impossible to find him," I frown. Zave shift uncomfortably on top of me, looking between Derk and I.
"That is, unless he wants to be found," Zave shrugs. My frown deepens at the idea.
