"Ms. Worthington you have a call on line two."
"Thanks, Jackie. Can you get the contracts ready for me so I can give them to Judge Murphy before court? "
"Yes, Ms. Worthington."
Sasha picked up the receiver and punched the button for line two. Who could be calling her this early in the morning?
"Sasha Worthington here."
"Good morning, darling." She instantly recognized that seductive voice on the other end of the phone. She had replayed every word he said to her since their first meeting. She was giggly as a schoolgirl with her first high school crush.
"Good morning to you. Do you know I have had two lattes just to be about to make it in to work? You have totally worn me out, by the way which is usually a very difficult task to manage." She heard a chuckle on the other end of the phone.
"Well I wished we could have watched the sunrise. You fell asleep in my arms an hour before it rose. But who's complaining. It felt so right, Sasha. I wished I didn't have to go to Vancouver for a week but I am having issues with productivity, but when I get back I would definitely like to see you."
"I can't wait. But I got to get going, I have court in an hour and I need to be heading to the courthouse. You have a safe trip and I will see you when you get back." They said their good-byes and Sasha left for court.

Sasha's week in court had been a beast. She had been working on the Bradford case for two months and every time it came time for Robert Bradford to testify something would come up. She was tired of continuous and wished the case would be over. The only shining part of her week was when she heard from Chase. A text here and there or phone messages made her week bearable. She was leaving work early and wanted to get ready to meet Chase at the airport. The phone sex had been unbelievable but she was ready for the real thing.
Sasha was normally a very conservative person, but Chase brought out something that had been lying dormant for a long time. Although she had only known him for a short period of time, she felt something for him. It didn't matter if he was white, but the person he was inside. Coming out of her day dreaming her phone rang.
"Hey sweetie, what's my darling daughter up to?"
"Hey mom, it's been a rough week in court but I am looking forward to the weekend.
"Oh, I hope so. I was at the club and was talking to Karen. Her son is in town and I wanted you two to meet. We could have a dinner party this weekend and you could come over. He's a VP for Conoco and I think you two would be great."
Sasha rolled her eyes. "Mom, actually I am already kinda seeing someone." There was a silence on the other end of the phone.
"So when were you going to tell me Sasha Rae Worthington?" She could hear her mother's sarcasm flowing through her words.
"Well we just met, so it's not serious yet. I wanted to wait until I knew for sure it would work out."
With a sigh on the other end of the phone, "well bring him over this weekend. Your father will be in town so this would be a great opportunity to meet this young man. I will call Tasha and see if she's avail..."
With a panicky voice Sasha said "No mom, Tasha will be on call this weekend at the clinic. I will see if he's available this weekend. He travels a lot too. I will call you back and let you know. I gotta go, so I will call you later. Love ya mom."
"Love you too sweetie." Sasha hung up the phone letting out a long breath. If her mother ever found out the truth, no telling what would happen.
It never surprised Sasha how the Worthington's took her and Tasha in at ten. Twenty years later, they were still calling them sweetie and honey. Jackson and Samantha Worthington couldn't have kids but it didn't stop them from pursing adoption. Jack and Samantha wanted a newborn but instead when they arrived at Belleview Group Home in New Orleans East, they came home with two nine year old black twins. Samantha was born to be a mother. She always told the girls she was instantly in love with them the first moment they met. She said she saw greatest in them and that although their old life may have hampered them, their new one would not.
Sasha remembered the drive to the Worthington's house. It was in East Over, a very secluded upscale community. There were bankers, pro athletes, business owners and CEO's of top fortune companies that had homes in that area. It was a dream coming true in every sense of the word.
The Worthington's both came from money, but Sasha and Tasha were taught to be responsible, appreciative and hard working if they wanted something out of life. Samantha had them in the best schools; she did homework with them every night and even taught them how to drive. She was nothing like Rosie Lee Rae their real mother.
Their father Jackson was business, but when he came home it was about his family. They traveled on vacations, he took them to father and daughter dances, athletic events, and both parents were there when they needed them. Every time she thought about them, she would send up a silent prayer of thanks. Sasha got in her Range and headed to the lingerie shop. She wanted something sexy to wear for the upcoming night. It had been a long time since she actually shopped for anything remotely close to what she was looking for.
She was excited and couldn't wait to find something Chase would drool over. After finally finding the perfect outfit she headed home to get ready. After a long bath in scented oils, her phone beeped. Reaching over the side of the tub a text message waited. Looking at the screen the message was from Chase. Quickly putting in her security code to unlock her phone she read the message. Oh Shit! He would be landing in an hour. She quickly got out of the tub and started getting ready.
