It had been a day since she had last seen him. He had called the previous night as promised and she was waiting for his return. Sasha looked in the mirror at her reflection. In just a few weeks she had picked up weight and she was finally starting to look like her old self again.
She had chosen a cute green and brown strapless sundress that came to her knees. Her hair was slicked back in a high ponytail almost making her look angelic. She wore small chocolate diamond earrings and a necklace that brought out her engagement ring.
She looked at the ring knowing she would be Mrs. Chase Denson in a few months. She didn't want to wait to long because she was ready to spend the rest of her life with him.
"Sasha, breakfast is ready," she heard your mother calling out to her. She finish putting on the finishing touches of her make-up and headed downstairs.
The smell of bacon and eggs had her stomach growling. She was so sick of the hospital food that she ate just able everything in sight. She walked to the table to see her parents, sister, Abe and the chef.
"Good morning everybody," she sang as she sat at the head of the table. Everyone laughed as she sat down to eat.
She looked around and everyone was laughing. "What's so fun?" She asked as the chef placed the plate in front of her.
"Who do you think you are? Princess Tiana or somebody. You coming down here singing and dancing, what is up with you?" Tasha looked at her sister.
Sasha stuck out her hand and Tasha gasped.
"Oh dear Jesus is that what I think it is? That should have been me?"
Her parents were excited until they heard Tasha say the last part. Their parents looked between one another confused.
"So do you mine explaining?" Their father asked turning his seat around.
"Nothing daddy!" Sasha pulled her hand away from Tasha as she gave her the evil eye.
"Oh no you don't, what are you two hiding?" Their mother said with narrow eyes.
Both of the girls sighed. "Okay I will tell you," Sasha said looking at Tasha. She knew if she didn't tell the story, Tasha would find a way to spin it her way.
"To make a long story short, my big headed sister over there met Chase first. She met him at the hospital when he brought his cousin in which turned out to be an agent. Anyway, he left out of town and wanted to meet up with Tasha when he got back. She decided that she didn't want to go and she said they had nothing really in common, so she sent me to break up with him."
Sasha looked at Tasha and she nodded her to go on. "Keep going but you bet not lie. Plus I had to work and couldn't just call in sick, I am a doctor you know."
Sasha rolled her eyes. "Whatever. Back to my story. I sat at the restaurant's bar because I was a little early."
"Yeah you were early because when was the last time you had been on a date?" Tasha looked at her watch. "Oh yeah, twenty past forever."
"Shut up Tasha!" Her mom said looking furious. Sasha smiled and licked out her tongue. Tasha threw her hands up and walked to the counter and sat on the bar stool. She made the motion of zipping her lips as she had done as a child.
"Well I sat at the bar and this guy comes in and I think he is very handsome. Tasha told me I was to meet a guy named CJ., who turned out to be the handsome guy that walked into the restaurant going by Chase not CJ. He sat next to me at the bar and ordered a shot of Campelton but of course they didn't have it so he order Auchentoshan 1973 instead." Her father looked impressed.
