Amelia's POV:

"Yeah, I'm taking it out now!" I shout to my crazy stepmom, with the garbage bag in hand. Both my brothers were still at the Wilson's party, which led to taking out the garbage myself. I began my walk down the driveway to the dark grey cans sitting on the curb. With one quick drop, I closed the lid, making my way back. Suddenly, I heard a growl from behind the step monster's car. I froze where I stood, taking in a shaky breath. I then began hearing an inhuman whimper cry out from the same spot. I slowly made my way around the bumper, and my eyes widened once I saw the creature.

It was an all white wolf with bold green eyes piercing me with the intensity they held. I didn't get the feeling it was going to attack, so I crouched down at eye level to get a better look. It launched into me playfully, licking every inch of my face. "Whoa, there!" I giggled, scratching behind it's ear. There was something familiar about those eyes. I looked into the reflection of the Jessica's silver Mercedes, seeing my own eyes holding the same glowing emerald green. I stared in disbelief.

Out the corner of my eye, I saw a woman approach the wolf and I, probably thinking I was mental to be kneeling in front of the dangerous animal. Yet, she was smiling. She was wearing this long white dress, her hair fell almost to her mid thigh, and her skin was milky and pale. She looked so out of place where she stood. "I see you found your wolf.." Her soft voice broke the silence. "Oh," I began looking down at the white fluffball," I actually just found her behind this car. I've never seen her before." Wait.. Did I just call it a her?

The woman just continued to smile. "Her name is Delilah. She is the same age as you are. She's been waiting to reveal herself for quite some time now." I was going to question the woman further, but something about her made me hold my tounge. "I am the moon goddess. And you must me Amelia." I nodded my head, not believing my ears. "I've been waiting for you." She pulled me up to stand, holding my hands in her own. "You are going to change the world." She whispered.

I shot out of my sleep, awakening in a cold sweat, breathing heavily. I glanced over at my phone seeing it was nearly 4 in the morning. Well.. I thought, there is no way I'm going back to sleep.. I need to clear my head. And I knew just how I was going to do that. My body was pretty much craving to go for a run, and I couldn't deny that it sounded like a great idea. I threw on my workout clothes, slid on my tennis shoes, then grabbed my phone and headphones.

As I stepped out the front door, I noticed my senses came to life more than usual. I could smell the musk of alcohol from last night still lingering around the Wilson house, I could see the butterfly fluttering onto a daisy a mile away almost as if it was right on my nose, I could feel the hair on my arms stand up before the chilly Fall wind hit me, and I could hear a heartbeat echoing from where Drew's library would be. I could even hear his soft breathing humming from his lips as if I were in the room with him.

I shook off the overwhelming feeling I got, and began my run through the neighborhood. My legs began warming up until I felt my legs move to a comfortable speed, which was the fastest I had ever gone, but I just wanted to go faster, I wanted to keep pushing my legs for the impossible. I passed by a clearing that turned into a thick forest, and without thinking, I sprinted into it. I just kept running, never wanting to stop, loving all the sites, smells, and sounds surrounding me. But then something hit my nose that drew me to stop completely. It reeked of burnt rubber and wet dog. I then felt the hair on my arms once again raise, but this time it was for a different reason. I felt like I was being watched. It was as if the scent I caught was all around me, and it made me want to puke. Then I heard it.

*snap* I spun on my heal to see a wolf two times the size of Delilah from my dream. It had dark brown, stringy hair. The stench from before was obviously coming from him. It began growling and creeping towards me. I knew if I ran, it would only make the situation worse. Instead, I stayed put, maintaining eye contacted with the smelly dog. Something washed over me, just like when Drew grabbed my wrist last night, and I began balling my hand into a fist. I noticed a slightly different sensation, and every muscle and nerve in my body tensed. It was almost as if my body was preparing for a massive blow.

Then something new entered the area. It was an alluring scent, not like the wolf's that stood in front of me. Another wolf with softer looking and lighter brown fur appeared from behind me. It didn't break eye contact with the rougher looking wolf, but it growled deeper, showing more power. The other wolf backed down, daring not to challenge him, and ran away with his tail tucked between his legs.

The other wolf turned to leave. I didn't believe my eyes when it stopped and looked at me as if waiting for me to follow. I don't know who in their right mind would follow a wolf around in the forest, but I dragged my feet behind. He lead me to the backyard of the Wilson house, disappearing behind a large tree. What stepped back out, caught me way off gaurd...
