Drew's POV:

Why is it that not even a day after meeting this girl, I have this insane urge to just walk up to her and swallow her in my arms? Amelia. Just the mention of her name sends my wolf and I into a frenzy!

She can't be my mate. She smells human. Well, actually, she smells like wild flowers and vanilla. Intoxicating... Okay, I need to stop thinking about that before I do something we will both regret.

Amy was gaping at the library in complete awe. So she likes books? Strange, she doesn't seem like the type of person. Movies, maybe, but books? Interesting. She was spinning around on her heels looking at all the shelves. "You can read one, if you would like. Or if you just want to come over sometime, and hang out, that is okay, too."

What am I doing?? She can't be this close to our pack with her being human! They will feel threatened and might hurt her. Just the mere thought of someone hurting her sent me into blazing anger. I need to calm down!

"Really?!" She asked with so much excitement in her eyes. "You would let me??" Wow, just when I thought I couldn't get it worse, she has to go off and smile like that. How can I ever say no to that beautiful smile?

"Yeah. Whenever you would like. Tomorrow, the day after. It's all up to you." I said, a smile growing on my face. I felt this explosion of butterflies dance inside my chest when she wrapped her arms around my torso. She instantly pulled away with a face as red as a tomato," Sorry, I wasn't thinking clearly..." "It's okay. Just caught up in the moment, I understand that." I was looking anywhere but at her, frightened of what I would do.

I need to be careful with her. I'm a lot stronger than I give myself credit for, and the last thing I want to do is harm her. "I should probably go home." It almost came out as a whisper, but I could easily hear it with my heightened senses. She had this adorable expression of nervousness. "I can walk you home?" "No, I'm okay! It's just down the sidewalk." I don't know why, but seeing her flustered like this was very entertaining for me.

"Well, we can't have you getting lost, again, now can we?" I said before flashing a smirk at her. I don't know why she brings this part of me out, but Amelia Jacobs is a mystery I would not mind solving.

*** I know it's bad, but I promise it gets better. Going to post another chapter soon. ***
